Cannot add/configure new email account/address
I have been given an email account as a board member of a local non-profit organization. I have tried but cannot get it to work in Thunderbird. It does, however, work on my Apple devices (iPad, iPhone & Watch). I'm missing important correspondence by not being able to get on my desktop. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

One reason is that you are not paying attention to what you're doing. If you look at the screenshot you sent, you have the incoming server defined as '.shelteringhands.com', yet the suggestions we offered where to try 'imap.mail.com.' That may not be correct, but you are the one responsible for know your account information, and NO account begins with a '.' My post on 5/14/2024 gave a detailed suggestion that was based on the little info you provided.
Tried using your suggestions.
SEE! Your are still NOT following suggestions. You're in a hurry, and will not spend the few minutes reviewing the suggestions,. I did NOT suggest using the same configuration for both input and output. I suggest you just use your ipad and phone. I will withdraw from this thread.
I'm not in a hurry and appreciate your trying to help. I have hired tech people where I live and they have not been able to figure it out. There are 26 people with the name@shelteringhands.org email addresses and I'm the only one my webmaster cannot get connected. I have spent over $100 and countless hours trying EVERY suggestion given. I know you are frustrated .... I am too. My only option now is to leave Thunderbird and go to Outlook (I do not want to do this). Thank you though, sincerely, Diane
