Both devices are recognized in my account. After running Sync, the history from the desktop is on the mobile but the bookmarks are not. Desktop is running Firefox snap v. 121 on Ubuntu 22.04. Mobile is running Firefox app v. 121 on Android 10. I have a copy of the sync.log but it's really long. Can attach if needed.

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

From my description: Desktop is running Firefox snap v. 121 on Ubuntu 22.04.

I resolved the problem. The profile from the previous version of Firefox was still in my home directory, so I renamed the new default profile and renamed my profile it as default. Works fine.

Does the log mention issues with the bookmarks engine ?

What Firefox version are you using (Mozilla, Snap, Flatpak, or other from your distro) ?

You can try Firefox from the official Mozilla server if you currently use a version from the repositories of your Linux distribution to see if it behaves differently.
