I received a request for a signature on a legal document. I signed and returned the document. But the logo of the company remains. I cannot delete it. Yes, I have tried by hovering on the upper right corner where 3 dots appear, clicking there, then clicking dismiss and/or remove from history but the logo remains. All other such logos of visited web sites can be removed by this method. I have removed all but the most recently visited/used web site logo/shortcuts and still this one logo remains. I have contacted that company's tech support but they had no workable solutions. What do I do to resolve this issue?

Did you try to clear cache/history options yet?

To expand on that last suggestion, you can pretty thoroughly flush a site using the "Forget About This Site" feature. Here's how:

(A) Open the Library window to your History using Ctrl+Shift+H

(B) In the tiny search box at the upper right, enter enough of the site address to uniquely identify it

(C) In the search results for the site, right-click one of its entries and choose Forget About This Site

Firefox may hang up briefly while it searches for all the references, or it may do the cleanup in the background. Eventually, that should clear the tile from the Shortcut section of your new tab page.

Any luck?

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox for this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data for that domain that you do not want to lose, make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.

If you revisit a 'forgotten' website, data for that website will be saved once again.
