When downloading, FireFox forces me to save attached files (MS Office, Adobe, etc.) instead let me to select. It is useless that, in Tools - Settings, I selected "Always ask". I have Windows 11.

One of the changes version 98 made was to convert any selections "Always ask" under Applications on the General page of Settings to 'Save' so you need to change them back. I have attached a link to the release notes.

Another change it made was that, at least in general, it forces you to download a file even when you choose to open it. A temporary workaround is posted in the thread linked below.
