Filters gone after today's update! (Again!)
Although I have NEVER had these problems until the last couple of years, I guess this last update (today) will be the last update I will ever install for Thunderbird.
Every time I put the most current version of Thunderbird on, I lose ALL my filters (of which I have about 100). It takes me about a day to try to re-create them from memory as I have been doing this for the many years I have been using Thunderbird.
I went to the %APPDATA%\Thunderbird\Profiles\ folder, hoping to find my filters there, but no luck.
Does anybody else have this problem? If so, how did you remedy it?
Please respond to my email at kdr4296@gmx.us
Thanks, Nick

If you make regular profile folder backups, or at least before a major release update (about every year), and filters disappear, it's just a matter of copying the msgFilterRules.dat from the backup into the relevant account folders in the Mail or ImapMail subfolders of the profile folder. Help/Troubleshooting, Profile Folder, Open Folder, then close TB before copying to a backup location.
I don't know why your filters are lost. This doesn't happen for the vast majority of updates.
