opening saved page from collection gives me old page version

In "collections" I saved some important websites which I open regularly. When I open those websites from collections I always get the old page version from the day I saved it in collections. (For example cnn.com)

When I save the same websites in bookmarks, the webpages open to the current version at this present moment.

Are sites saved in collections supposed to open the old website versions like that? It's frustrating because then I need to try to refresh and make sure I'm getting the up to date page version.
