Let's say I have lots of email accounts I'd like to set up as an account each, all with same custom server settings, only the username and password is the same.

Is there any way to quickly set this up, without having to go through the pain of the GUI wizard for each one and setting each account up individually? I also have custom settings like Sync settings I'd like the same for each account.

e.g

- duplicate an account would be good, then on and edit the one part that you need for each account. - add-on, I can't find one suitable - perhaps manual hackery in the Thunderbird profile?

Any ideas or tips?

There is a method, TB autoconfiguration, that is relevant to large-scale account setups, but it may or may not be a 'quick' solution for your purposes.

It's not any add-ons that can do that. I think it's not a problem that may need contact them.

Thanks @sfhowes

The Thunderbird:Autoconfiguration tool was very helpful.

I created the needed XML file, and was able to add multiple accounts a *lot* quicker without having to re-enter all the same server settings every time.
