When marking messages in the junk folder as 'not junk' they disappear instead of moving to my inbox

I'm runnig Thunderbird 45.1.1. When I delete the junk marker on a message in my junk folder, instead of transferring to my inbox, or event staying where it is to enable me to move it manually, it disappears.

How can I prevent this happening please?

You might move that to Archive folder, check your SPAM settings.

Many thanks for the reply. I've already checked my Spam settings, and unfortunately this was not the answer!
