Try clearing the cache and deleting cookies for the site that you are trying to log into, this can sometimes help with accessing a site that previously worked. For details see how to clear the cache and deleting cookies.

If that does not help you should contact the support/customer services for the site to make sure that there is no problem with the site or your login details.

You are using a no longer supported Firefox 3.0.19 version.

Your above posted system details show outdated plugin(s) with known security and stability risks.

Appologies for the delay in responding - I was in hospital Thank you for your suggestion. Perhaps I was unclear with my problem. which is/was with Firefox itself. ie I had cleared the cookies, including an unwanted tracking cookie but that particular one kept coming back, I then attempted to resort to the forum for advice but could not log on etc.as described For some unknown reason today the system is working correctly - so I will keep my fingers crossed- but the original cookie problem persists
