Firefox pauses / stutters frequently after running more than an hour -2

This is ridiculous, there's obviously a problem here that needs to be addressed, I've been using FF for over 5 years with no problem but this is so frustrating I'm now looking for a permanent replacement browser. Goodbye Firefox......
