How can I go back to old appearance

I am not aware of anything changing in the way that Firefox looks recently - what in particular would you like to change?

You are right. The change that really confused me was that the tabs were on the side, instead of on top. I fixed that and everything seems ok. Thank you for responding to me. Helen
