v 149 no longer allows browser links to be dragged to an email or doc
I see many complaints about this new version v 149 for the Mac. The most outrageous one is that you can no longer drag links from a browser page (try BBC) to an email or a doc. You have to copy the link then it won't turn blue and only when received will it show up as a link. Like many others after 30 years use preferred over Safari and others I am seriously losing patience with Firefox. On the very day you announce split screen for Ff windows - you disable a vital feature that has worked for years causing me to waste so far 60 minutes of my hard pressed work time. Maybe this will be corrected in the next upgrade. But I am now intending to avoid all Firefox upgrades for 6 months after being offered. I doubt anyone on this forum will come back on this but my set-up is Mac OS Monterey - and Firefox v 148 worked perfectly before today. I hesitate to try and install the previous version because I am not used to doing such tech moves. Perhaps someone in the Mozilla head office congratulating themselves on the marvellous new upgrade will come across this but I doubt it

Hi,
The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or developers. When a Mozilla employee jumps into a discussion, you'll see the Mozilla Staff label next to their name.
If you wish, you can leave feedback for developers on the Mozilla Connect website. Click the Firefox Menu
button in the toolbar, click Help and select Share ideas and feedback…. Alternatively, you can use this link. Your feedback is collected by a team that reads it and gathers data on the most common issues.
You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.
Many thanks Paul for your very prompt response. I will follows the links you suggest. But my main point remains - before Mozilla developers send an upgrade I like to feel that there is a back compatible list of basic essential actions they consult and test. Or at least a link to possible incompatibities for basic browser actions. Many thanks again. PS Would love to see a Mozilla Staff pick up on this - and on why keeping Firefox loyal users means checking on back compatible issues. Firefox holds a relatively small share of the global browser market - as low as 2.5% ! It has a stronger presence on desktop . Anton
Thank you for your feedback.
