After restarting my computer last week, I suddenly couldn't reach ANY websites on my computer. I tried changing security settings. I tried deleting Firefox and reinstalling it. Still, to no avail.

I don't have any problem reaching websites via Firefox on my laptop or my mobile devices. I also have no issues with using Google Chrome or Bing.

For some reason, though, I'm suddenly having the same connectivity issue using Zoom, citing Firewall and Proxy issues (I'm a single, home user). I tried turning my security program off, and that didn't help. I also did a scan using the security software and it could find no malware.

I have tried restarting the computer, and powering off and restarting the router. No help.

I'm not sure why I'm suddenly getting this issue with my desktop. I have Dell ProSupport, and while they're trying, they haven't been able to nail anything down.

Any ideas why this would suddenly happen, and only to Firefox? (and, for some reason, the Zoom connectivity?)

Jeff

You can try to enable DNS over HTTPS. "Increased Protection" and "Max Protection use Cloudflare as the provider, so there might be a problem with the DNS service set in the OS.

You can use the DNS Lookup tool on the about:networking page to test if you can reach a website.
