i searched for how to bookmark an entire window. google gave me: https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/94180 as well as https://support.mozilla.org/eu/questions/1144799 there are probaby many others.

1. both are archived. 2. both are obsolete. Unless I am doing something wrong, in the BOOKMARKS menu there no longer exists "BOOKMARK ALL TABS"

So, why, when an article is archived is it not marked as to what versions of FF it applies? another way to think of this: Why archive a question that WILL ALWAYS BE A RELEVANT QUESTION?

and what is worse: why does searching for "bookmark all tabs" come up empty searching FF help?

Another way: Stop changing FF so much !!!! It is a pain the you-know-what.

And, why does searching for "BOOKMARK ALL TABS" in FF doc come up empty? No wonder the same questions are asked over and over again.

This work different, now you can select multiple tabs and use "Bookmark Tabs" in the context menu of a tab to bookmark the selected tab, Tab is changed to Tabs to show that the action will take place on more than one tab. There is a Select All Tabs item to quickly select all the tabs. See Bookmark Tabs:

Did you try to search for bookmark all tabs with "Help Articles Only" selected here ?

no,. but, I just did.

that was a waste of time. most of the articles talk about "bookmark all tabs" no longer working. And, I certainly diud not look at all 77 answers. it should be the FIRST or so!!!!

What you are referring to are support forum threads as articles refers to the Knowledge Base Articles or KB.

As an example this is one of the KB article about Bookmarks in (desktop) Firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/bookmarks-firefox

When you do a search in the [Search support] box make sure Help Articles Only on top is selected and you have Firefox on the right selected on the search results pages. This way you will only get KB articles for Firefox (on Windows, macOS, and Linux desktop) and not also for Android and iOS devices or other products.

I had trouble getting back to my question from the email about the reply I received.

why is there no link in the email that simply directs me to my question?

To get here, I had to click "this doesn't solve my problem". Not logical at all. who comes up with this stuff? is firefox development all volunteers?

an a second complaint, after I first say Thank You for the excellent answer, James.

When I open "Help / Get Help / Basic Browsing" and click on the "Bookmarks in Firefox" article, I don't get basic information. I get reference level information. So, going back, "Basic Browsing" is a poorly named topic. I would have never figured "basic browsing" included much more than I already know from 20 years of using FF.
