login to website timesout after inactivity period
Hi, after loging in to a secure website and reading contents - if I am on a page and reading for a short while, even though moving up and down the page but not switching to another page - or if entering text into queries or creating content on the page, it is taken as inactivity and I am logged out of that website. Can this timeout period be extended so that I am not logged out even while entering response or reading different sections of the page I have navigated to? TIA

Do you have an extension that automatically discards cookies ?
Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window

It is possible that the website closes the session after some activity, but you usually get a warning in such a case.
