I need to clear cached web content; Amazon Prime Videos won't open for me. I am unable to get into Firefox Browser in order to make these changes. All I access are articles telling me how to do it, but no access that actually allows me to do it. Thanks.

Amazon Prime movies will not load for me. The support at Amazon suggested that I clear cached web content on my browser. I am unable to get into Firefox to fix the problem. All I have been able to access are articles telling discussing the problem, but there is no access that actually allows me to do it. Thanks.

I am unable to get into Firefox to fix the problem.

Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What is/are the exact error message(s) ?

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

If there is still a problem,

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

While you are in Troubleshoot(Safe) mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

Do you mean that you can't open Firefox at all ?

You can check for issues caused by a corrupted or incomplete Visual C++ installation that is missing runtime components (Redistributable Packages) required by Firefox, especially VCRUNTIME140_1.dll.

See "Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019":

You may not need the latter (32-bit version) if you use 64-bit Firefox. You may have to reboot the computer.
