Gap between bookmark folder lists is huge

SuMo Bot

In the latest release the gap between Bookmarks on the Bookmark toolbar folders is huge. Why was this changed and how to change it back? Note this isn't happening from the menu, only from the Bookmarks toolbar folders. It is extremely ugly and huge waste of space which forces me to scroll to see all my bookmarks under some folders.

In the current Firefox 92 release you can only reduce the menu spacing via userChrome.css. In the next Firefox 93 release (current Beta/DE) they have added support to reduce the menu spacing via "Density: Compact" on the Customize page.

Note that "Compact" is no longer present by default as a Density choice in Customize.

Why would they have changed this in the first place and why don't they fix it immediately? Firefox has been my go to browser since it was released but you are making me seriously consider switching completely to chrome.

FYI, I changed browser.compactmode.show to True and restarted my browser and it still has the same issue.

Changing that preference gives you the option of choosing compact density in Customise Toolbar but that won't make any difference to bookmarks spacing until (apparently) version 93.
