Hi there!

Two days ago I updated my FF from version 58.0.1 to 59.0.1 on a Windows 10 PC.

Yesterday I noticed that after starting FF, there were no bookmarks anywhere (0 bookmarks, not "Bookmarks menu" nor "Bookmarks toolbar"). History was also missing! However, "Saved logins", Certificates and others were still there...

I followed your guide ("Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer") to restore a bookmarks backup and I got all my bookmarks (6005 entries) back.

But this morning, after starting again FF (and my PC), bookmarks and history were gone again! I guess I can get bookmarks back by restoring them again... but I'm afraid there must be something wrong making this issue appear every time I start FF.

Could anyone assist, please?

I have these add-ons installed: Addblock plus, MEGA, Tab suspender, Video DownloadHelper

Hi, see what happens if you disable ALL your extensions and any theme - 3-bar menu > Add-ons > Extensions/Themes and restart Firefox; then if it's OK, re-enable them one by one until you find the culprit. You may need to restart Firefox after enabling some of them.

If the above doesn't help, set all plug-ins to Never Activate - 3-bar menu > Add-ons > Plugins, then if it's OK, re-enable them one by one until you find the culprit.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!

Hi! Thanks for answering. Disabling the plugins didn't work. I ended up reinstalling FF from scratch and restoring my profile. I think I get everything back.
