in inbox suddenly some mails became empty and cannot be deleted nor moved nor archived, other messages not affected. It happened earlier and was asked to delete the inbox folder, that worked. But again same problem happening on the same email account, other accounts no problem. See screenshot, the bad ones have red star. Clicking on bad ones: empty screen. Recently my Intel NUC died and I have switched to using n ASUS Strix laptop with a Synology NAS storage. Since that switch whenever I start up Thunderbird I receive this error message; " The folder ‘Inbox on meddingsbasil@gmail.com’ could not be compacted because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again."

I am not sure if the error is in my ASUS Strix or in Thunderbird or elsewhere. If you can help, please note that I am a senile old geezer of 95 years and 7 months. I used to be OK with computers but I am now getting forgetful of how to do things.

Several times a day, TB pops up a message box with the following...

The folder 'Inbox on email@domain.com could not be compacted because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again.

I have a few accounts in TB, and it does this for all of them, but at seemingly random times.

Everything seems to work, it's just annoying to have these messages pop up.

I have 0.9Tb free space on the disk, so I don't think it's a lack of space! I also have admin rights to the file system, so that's not it either.

Anyone any idea why I get this? Thanks

since 8/12 i cannot get new emails to appear. The emails come from an xfinity acct. that I can access. I get an error message that says unable to write the email to the mailbox. make sure the file system allows you write privileges.I have used mozilla for quite sometime just not sure where to go from here.

I have been advised by BMO bank that the notice: "Error code: AK_DNY - 76.144.82.174" when trying to access their site "https://usdigital.bmo.com/www/#/need-help" means that Firefox will not communicate effectively with them. They suggested I use Google Chrome or a microsoft product-I use neither! I finally accessed using Safari. I really want to continue to use GFirefox, which I have been using for several years now.

Good evening, my MX Anywhere 3S mouse started to exhibit a strange behaviour recently.

I have been using the 2 side buttons on the mouse being mapped to "Show/hide desktop" and "Escape" respectively.

In Firefox web browser, instead of "Escape" it inputs a "2" (number key) and the "show/hide desktop" shortcut triggers the "left Shift"

When I use Mozilla's VPN service...many mozilla vpn servers will block me from sending out emails giving this error message:

Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Service unavailable; Client host [23.234.88.xxx] blocked using clients.rbl.e-scout.net; host 23.234.88.xxx blocked due to abusive behavior from your network. Please contact servers@ispn.net for resolution.. Please check the message recipient "xxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxx.com" and try again.

Mosilla's VPN service is blocking its own Thunderbird software from functioning...lolol Are you going to fix this Mozilla??? Looks like you're tripping over your own feet...
