For the last two to three weeks The Firefox updates have changed the way bookmark data is retained. Firefox will allow bookmarks to be added and retained on the tool bar for any sessions - until firefox is restarted and then the bookmarks no longer work.

I bought a new PC and wanted to import messages from different backups I've made over the years. I always copied the whole Thunderbird profile folder.

No matter which profile backup I want to import, I get an error. I always choose to import just the messages.

The latest profile I wanted to use was just 2 weeks old.

I always get this message. What do I need to do to successfully import the messages?

mozilla keeps closing out.When it does I lose all passwords and bookmarks.I'm not even home when this happens.This started when I bought a new computer which has windows 11.Old one had 10.When some bookmarks come back they are old one or the don't work

I am installing Thunderbird from official GitHub releases and I am wondering why I am getting info from Obtainium that thunderbird-14.0 is something called "pseudo-release".

Can someone explain me this term regarding GitHub apk files? Is it OK to install it?

Using 140.2.1esr (64-bit) on Win, laptop has plenty of disk space free. When writing a long-ish message, I want to stop and think, so I do Ctrl S to Save... Sometimes works fine. Sometimes Thunderbird hangs and does not save, so I lose everything I wrote, very frustrating. Problem happened off and on during many weeks. I cannot replicate the problem on demand. Shut down- restart did not help. Any help will be much appreciated thanks.

If I go to the profile folder, exit firefox then copy and paste the folder to a backup location. The attempted backup fails. Something about permissions as I recall. I have tried many things unsuccessfully. Something has changed that does not allow for the backup of profile folders. Adding a backup option to the profile manager would be nice. I noticed some people have found work-arounds but I need a straight-forward procedure for backing up my folders. No work-arounds please, just a simple procedure. May I ask for help with this issue?

After about 20 years of using Thunderbird, since 11/24/25 I can longer send emails [see error message below] I can receive emails without a problem. [see server settings below] Since I can not resolve this problem, I have installed [new] Outlook and am able to receive & send mail with, seemingly, the same server settings. I don't understand the message about failing to find the 'certificate'. I did not update Thunderbird or Windows in the days before this problem started. After several hours of troubleshooting, my ISP has concluded that the problem is not on their end. Since Outlook works OK, I assume they are correct.

I have an s25 Ultra and everyrhing was working fine with firefox but within the span of an hour, I would do a search and any search engine I was use (I usually use Duck Duck Go) would make the font very small rather than use the Automatic font sizing option. It seems to have turned off on its own even when showing as active. What could be causing this and how to make the text fit to screen again?

I have an odd question ... may or may not be a firefox question. When I am not on my main facebook page (facebook.com ... homepage or feed), I can not scroll. After a few posts, I get an error. The facebook app works on my phone app so I am guessing it is something between firefox and my windows 10 desktop computer.

I restarted several times .... checked for updates ....

My personal page will scroll ... and I can scroll reels

It is almost as if the cache gets full or something like that and will not let more than 3 or 4 posts download.

It had been working fine for years .... just stopped yesterday.

Any suggestions?

I just used CCleaner health check and when done all my bookmarks were gone. I've had CCleaner for years and never had this happen before (laptop). The troubleshooting list was unclear and did not correct the problem.

i have 2 pc's using tb , one can sign in to my outlook.com acct, but the desktop pc can not. have checked all setting etc

the working installation is on esr update channel, other on is not [so i have 2 difference tb versions]. both are updated

if anyone sees in a forum that i had email trouble recently pls note that i now have an old backup of win10 in service on the desktop pc. haven't yest found my way back to that forum to post the results of using peoples advice but they were very helpful

I removed Gmail from my Thunderbird after Gmail became unreliable. (I had Gmail coming through T-bird for many years with no hassles..). I then attempted to re-install the Gmail client in T-bird using Gmails directions. Gmail took over my Thunderbird account! I then removed the Gmail account completely... I now get a notice in Thunderbird to sign in with GOOGLE after all my T-bird imap access is done and Tbird is open. The page (Google notice) which appears asks me to sign in with Google account. I want to get rid of this annoying notice. The notice can easily be dismissed but it is really annoying when it appears every time I open T-bird. Any ideas or help much appreciated! ..Btw - I attempted to get help from Google and they dismissed my case saying it was contrary to their policy etc....!! Help!

In Draft area, when I ask to save the item, it disappears every time and I can not find it anywhere. The same thing happens on another email account on a different computer. I am unhappy.
