It's been almost a week now, and my 2 Microsoft email accounts will not connect to Thunderbird anymore. All was fine for years, but something changed that I can't figure out!?! I have gone to my Microsoft email server and checked that my passwords still work. I even updated one and it works on Microsoft server but not Thunderbird's!?!? I even deleted one email account from Thunder bird to re-install it, but when I tried a fresh re-install Thunderbird still won't connect to Microsoft server??? I'm at my wits end, and may abandon Thunderbird completely if someone there doesn't help me connect!!!

Just installed a new hard drive and windows 11. Installed Thunderbird, which I have used for years. Began receiving e-mail right away. Have tried to send several e-mails but I get an error message saying mail server responded: relay access denied Please check message recipient and try again. The e-mail for the recipient is correct and I have tried to send to others with the same result.

Do not know if it is a windows error, an smtp error or a Thunderbird error. My web host gave me the proper settings for incoming and out going mail. They are the same as I had for windows 10 which worked forever.

After moving my Thunderbird profile to a new computer none of my accounts can authenticate. I followed the instructions here: Move Thunderbird data to a new computer, using "An alternative method for manual transfer between Windows 10 and Windows 11 computers." What explains the response in the attached image, "Something went wrong," and how can I fix it? Happens when I click "Next", the first step to log it.

I have a related problem with other accounts set up in the profile. This one is using Oauth2. I tried switching to password, and hand a similar problem. I tested the connection to the server in Settings for the account and it was successful. Same for the others. They all authenticate successfully on my old computer.

I used to just have my Canon TS6350 do my printing. Great. Now Thunderbird seems to have taken over my choice of how I print for a long while and it's driving me nuts. It is a dreadful system. I've got a new laptop and installed Thunderbird 150 on it. I'm so disappointed that the "Message Preview" option is missing. I really depended on that. How can I get it on this new version of Thunderbird?

I want to use Thunderbird as a one-off back up of my source email folders.

On Thunderbird PC, I have done this under Fetching mail settings with "Folder Poll Frequency" set to Never.

On Thunderbird Desktop Account settings are different. On Server settings, I have unchecked for new messages, but they are still coming through. Any advice how to stop the messages synchronising from the source email system?

I will then delete a lot of old messages on the source system, knowing they are available on Thunderbird desktop

My problem is that I can't get Thunderbird to work with my YouSee email account, or vice versa. I get a message that my email address or password is incorrect but they are not YouSee can't or won't help apparently I'm running Win 11

I used to be able to copy links from Youtube and send them to people to watch. Now thunderbird is not letting me do that and says it is spam. This is so irritating as my bedridden sister loved to watch the things I would send her. Is there a way around the spam setting?

Now I have Tbird running on my Android with all my email accounts in it. However; my PC version (Win 11) is like a first install. Blank slate. It asks about some "Hub" thing and I don't understand exactly what it is asking for. Outlook name and password? Mozilla account name and password? Some other username and password? Can't transfer anything from mobile to PC (not good). Any way to fix this? Don't tell me I might have to go back to Outlook...

This isn't a crash, but it's an error that keeps happening as I'm typing my email. It's a problem with saving drafts. The error message reads : Error while saving draft. The configured key id "0x8DC635DD33C6A871" cannot be found on your keyring.

I can't type an email longer than say 30 seconds without this error constantly coming up until I send the email. (Needless to say I also can't save to drafts)

Uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird and same problem.

My computer was wiped and I imported my last profile when installing Thunderbird.

Would not want to lose all my email in order to start a fresh profile :(

Also, as I was went looking for the version of Thunderbird I noticed it seems to be having trouble doing an update. I'm using the release update channel.

Been using Thunderbird for 25 years and never had this issue before.

I have two Gmail accounts and one school account that uses Office 365. In the left panel where the inbox, drafts, etc. are, the Gmail accounts are listed in blue but the school account is listed in white. I can't see any reason for this difference in the accounts' settings. What does the difference indicate?

Why am I getting this message when I try and send an email from my Mozilla email client: Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com timed out. Try again.

I am having issues getting thunderbird to connect to my 2 hotmail accounts over the last week or two. According to isitdownrightnow.com, outlook has been down for about 200 days and is this really the case? My wife is not having any issues with her hotmail accounts, but I am. I have tried several different settings and attempts and did seem to have it setup, only for it to fail again and again.

This is getting ridiculous. I am using Windows 10 Pro and I am using Thunderbird 150.0.1 (64-bit). I am using Avast Antivirus and Comodo Firewall, but my gmail and yahoo mails are just fine. If anyone here has any information that I am missing or maybe I am making some kind of mistake in my setup, I would really appreciate any and all help or suggestions. I would like to know if possible and or how to set up a standard "footer" if you will, to end my emails with. I am humbled to have several initials after my name, and would like to be able to have a standard button or actino to perform, to shortcut those answered emails with that sign off... Is is possible? After installing the zoom meeting add-on, it's not working. Entered my credentials, clicked login with Zoom button and get an error: {"status":false,"errorCode":4702,"errorMessage":"Invalid client_id: rodney.arbona@thegratefulagency.com","result":null}

I have had to replace my laptop and am trying to set up my new one with an existing outlook account on the new device.

It is a Windows 11 device.

I have used the exact server settings etc from my old lap top for the outlook account but get a variety of error messages.

I have explored the use of the Account Hub and also switched that off/on. Same situation.

I attach five screen captured images so far. The first is the version of TB. The second is the window that appears when the account tries to connect and thirdly the small pop up that appears bottom right hand corner of laptop. The remaining two show the server settings and that they passed the connection test.

Other email accounts (gmail & yahoo) have both been set up on the new device and work well.

The account worked on the old laptop and continues to do so. I have set up the outlook account with, to the best of my knowledge, the same settings. The old lap top was a windows 10 device. The new laptop does not have a third party antivirus on it.

I am baffled as to what is happening and what I should do next. Any advice would be great.

I tried to create a filter adding as personalized condition "Reply-to" that Thunderbird saves in the msgFilterRules.dat as: condition="OR (\"reply-to\",contains,@miracel001.entrydns.org)"

There is no way to get any filter working, do you have a suggestion on how to fix this issue ?

Very simply as per the summary, every time I hit restart to update and then do another Help/About it ends up back with exactly the same result every time and while I downloaded the latest version available for download and installed it, it does not come up with 150.0.1 but the same as above.
