Dear All,

I would be most grateful of any answers to my question, please.

I currently have an Android mobile phone, and I use Firefox for Android as my main browser.

Could anyone please tell me how I could change from Firefox for Android to Google, please?

I have tried to change the default browser, but am met with a screen saying Firefox.

I have been asked by my employer to process a form of ID, and it only works with Safari and Google. Safari is obviously out, but how to set Google as my default, please?

Just updated to 152 on Android (152.01 to be precise) and no page summarise features are available - not showing in the settings page, when using the menu (3 dots) on a web page and no shake to summarise either. No shake to summarise gesture under customisation or page summarise under ai controls either.

My language is normally defaulted to system (English NZ) but changing to English UK or Enlgish US doesn’t fix this.

It hasn't been highlighted as a release that's region locked:

"Page summaries: Get key points from long articles with a tap or shake. Now available to all users in English."

Any ideas? A bug?

Hello everyone, I am noticing a strange visual issue since today on my Android device. There is a persistent thick purple outline around the last active tab in the normal tab overview/tray.

    • • What I have tried so far (none of it worked):**It looks like a keyboard/accessibility selection focus ring that gets stuck on the active tab tray element and ignores the theme engine.

Is anyone else on Android 16 or Version 151 experiencing this UI bug? Any known workarounds to force-disable this outline? Thanks!

Btw. Chrome is working well. No annoying purple outline as shown on the last picture 🤷🏻♀

I have a Samsung J5 with Android 9.

I have Firefox Beta version 139.0b10.

Has the issue of Firefox beta cutting off text between pages of the PDF file when printing to PDF files been resolved with the latest versions of Firefox beta?

Now, after the latest update (October 18 – 144.0 (Build #2016119303)), keyboard isn't "detected" by pages. So when KB is open, can't scroll to the bottom of the page. Or similarly, pages which have a message box at the bottom, KB overlays that box and everything below it. Quick test shows that only the New Tab screen and URL bar know about the keyboard status.

Tested on different browsers with different phones. Firefox for Android overlays keyboards on top of the webpage instead of resizing the viewport. This partially blocks the view of responsive webpages and most times blocks the view of text input boxes while typing.

Image attached shows how the keyboard is overlaid on top of the end of the footer of the Mozilla website. Last image shows a Chrome screenshot for comparison.

New version 144.0 just arrived and a bad surprise for me. I'm often using the shortcuts in the start page, but these are limited now to the first 8 icons and can not be scrolled. To see the others I need to click on Show All. This seems to me as a very bad update Up through Firefox Android 143 Shortcuts on the new tab page could be quickly side-scrolled, but that appears to be removed in 144, which I find significantly more clumsy. Please restore the prior behavior, at least and I hope it will be corrected Thank you. and copy and paste is broken on android mobile (Sorry I had to blur sole of my pint shortcuts)

I Am Absolutely Loving The Firefox BETA Web Browser Thus Far & All The Different Settings & Security Features Available, But There Is Either A BUG, Or A Feature That Is Just Missing (for whatever reason) That I Feel Is A MUST HAVE Added Feature & NEEDS To Be Added, Implemented, & Supported Immediately For Users With Disabilities Such As Myself. I Am A U.S. Army Combat Veteran & Lost My Hands In Combat Due To An I.E.D (roadside bomb) & I Rely On Voice Texting To Be Able To Send Messages, Search, Stay Connected With My Community & Friends Online, & The Ability To Even Use A Smartphone Device With Relative Ease. The Gboard Functionality & Ease Of Use Along With The Instant Translations Of Languages , & Audio Translation Features Make My Phone Use Pretty Much As Good As Someone Who Has BOTH Of Their Hands Still. I Love Everything About The Extensions & Added Safety Features With Firefox & The BETA Is My GO TO Web Browser From Now On & That Will Doubtfully Ever Change. But, The Missing VOICE TEXT Will Definitely Change That Decision If It Is Not Implemented Soon, I NEED That Feature & Without It Then The Web Browsers Added Security Is Completely Useless For Me, Because I Won't Be Able To Work The Device On My Own Anymore. Just Like Now.... I'm Now Relying On My Wife To Type & Send My Messages For Me Due To The Missing Voice Text Capability, Which Is Just Not A Preferred Method Or One %hat Ik Willing To Stick With Permanently. She Doesn't Have Time To Take Care Of My Online Social Matters For Me & I Refuse To Ask Her To Do Such. So With That Being Said, Either Mozilla Firefox Needs To Add A Voice Texting Capability To It's Browser Settings Within The Veta Or Else I Will Be Forced To Discontinue It's Use. I Mean, Am I Just Over-Looking Some Sort Of Extension, Add On, Feature, Setting, Or Am I Right & There Isn't (me Available, Because I Prefer To Use The Gboard Due To It's Outstanding Functionality & I Noticed Anytime I Open A Tab Or Access The Firefox Beta Web Browser & Attempt To Either Search For Something, Or If I'm In A Public Chat Setting While Using The Browser, Then The Microphone 🎙 & Voice Texting Capability & Logo Completely Disappears From My Gboard Keyboard & Is No Longer Accessible For Some Unknown Stupid Reason...???
