About a week ago I started getting these update error messages stating "Update available - Firefox couldn't update automatically. Download the new version". I've also tried clicking "Learn more" on the error message but it's a dead link. Going into the settings for updates I am set to auto update, but when I manually check for updates it says "Failed to check for updates".

The help article on this issue simply tells you to download and manually reinstall Firefox, but I'm having to do this nearly every day. I work in IT myself so I know a "bandaid" workaround when I see one. Is there a solution to this issue?

Hi. I keep several Firefox tabs open and active on my laptop. Inevitably, Firefox slows down after a week or several weeks and would benefit from a Quit / Restart. But then (I think) I would lose my tabs, which would mean a trip to the library to login and get them back. If I do nothing, a superslow Firefox will usually mean my laptop eventually restarts on its own. Then when I open Firefox I see a "Restore Session" option, which brings everything back (I think I see Restore Session because the computer did its own shutdown). So, this does work, but I have a slow computer until the laptop does its own restart. I am wondering if I can initiate my own Firefox Quit / Restart which will give me the "Restore Session" option. I am trying to block myself from checking on my old employer's website, and I need to block myself from being able to go to their web page. How do I block a specific website? I do not want to access this site, and I find myself checking the site. I sound nuts, I know. But this is for my own good.

How to add the date of the site listed in History.

As it is there is the sidebar: History, then Name, Tags, Location, and Date but the column is empty, no date appears there.

Is there some way to enable and disable specific config settings , on a per-site basis?

For example, let's say I want to disable right-click hijacking (dom.event.contextmenu.enabled) on turtlesaregreat.com, but use the default settings everywhere else.

The Page Info > Permissions panel has some, but not all the ones I want. Is this somehow built into Firefox, or maybe there's an extension?

FF120 on Sonoma

I am no longer able to add attachments to gmail or upload images or attachments to websites. When I click on the attachment icon or upload button, my finder window does not open. However, it works in other browsers. How can I fix this?

Every once in a while, maybe once or twice a week, I'll press Cmd+L to highlight the address bar, type a URL for a new website, and press enter, and instead of going to that new website Firefox just reloads the current page. It seems that this happens exclusively when the current website is gmail.com. (I might be wrong) I can't remember it happening on any other website. This problem has been occurring for me for the past year at least. Any recommendations?

Firefox has always maintained that current tabs will be restored after a reboot of the browser, and indeed that was the case for the first half-dozen years I've been a subscriber. That has not been the case for the past 4 - 6 months however. I have the correct Settings for this, so it is not on my end. Why do I always get a fresh Firefox browser whenever I update the version (which is quite regular lately . . . maybe a new version of Firefox every 3 weeks). Please help.

Some Hebrew fonts are appearing as little rectangles , when I turn off 'allow website to provide fonts' then even more of the Hebrew (not just the Heb on buttons) appear as rectangles (see images) .

I change nothing in my settings and I am now on Dark background everywhere despite having: - forced the system settings (OS) to stay in light background - in about:preferences appearance I've manually selected (forced) the light background - in about:config I've tried to switch the browser.theme.content-theme to "1" (instead of "0")

this is really frustrating, I would like to get a better "reading" of what happens, as an Engineer I am happy to also squint at logs if needed, please consider adding a preference / settings change log file

I am not able to navigate websites per the ADA Accessibility requirements using my FireFox browser. I have tested the same websites in Chrome and the TAB key is working correctly, but in my instance of Firefox it does not. I have a colleague who tested the same website in their Firefox browser and they are not experiencing a problem navigating the website using their keyboard TAB key.

I am on a Mac with most recent FF installed. Colleague was on a PC and tested in FF.

How can I get FF to work correctly on my Mac?

I just get a blank page upon attempting to enter the site, but with no content. Grateful if someone could advise.

Can't login to tv.verizon.com. Entering login info produces the message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Trying the same login with Chrome works fine.

Should I be going back to using Chrome again?

Hi y'all! I've been trying to get netflix to play recently, and I keep getting the error code F7351. I tried looking it up, and didn't get anything, and also tried to dis- and re- enable DRM content, and that didn't work. Does anyone know what to do? Thanks for any help!!
