I have Ghostery installed and when going to a website the list of trackers Ghostery blocks shows up in the status block that Ghostery projects onto that web page. Then going to the security shield icon that Firefox has next to the 'Home' icon on the address bar, Firefox reports 'No trackers known to Firefox were detected on this page'.

Can someone explain the order of precedence for detecting and blocking trackers here? Does Ghostery intercept the web page load before Firefox analyzes the page for trackers? If Ghostery blocks trackers is this the reason Firefox does not detect trackers?

Running Firefox 104.0.2 on Windows 10 Pro - latest installed patches as of 9/21/22.

And finally does Ghostery (not running Ghostery Plus) keep a list of web URL and blocked trackers somewhere?

When I open a PDF from my email, and try to print, the printed page is only showing an enlarged corner of the document. The I am only getting a portion of the image on PDF's I am printing from Quickbooks as well. It seems to happen only on Firefox. Is there a setting I can change or reset? Thank you

How do I sync between to laptops? I would like to sync my settings and bookmarks. QR code generation is ridiculous. I do not want firefox on my phone.

I have Firefox installed on Linux (Fedora), Windows, and macOS, and on Windows and Mac, I can use ctrl (cmd on Mac) + shift + Y to open the Bitwarden extension. On Linux, this instead opens the downloads library (which is normally ctrl + shift + j...). Is there any way to change the shortcuts on Linux to be the same as the other two OSes? Judging by the many many open questions on this site about changing shortcuts, I'm not holding my breath...

There was an issue with accessing the network for media playback. The sub-error code will contain what specific resource was unable to be accessed over the network. | NETWORK_ERROR encountered, code: 1400

This is only happening on desktop Firefox. Mobile device works fine.

There is an issue with the image scaling on PDF's when printing. Will print the text part of the document regularly, but any images will be zoomed in too far, rendering the document useless. The workaround of taking a screen shot of the document, then printing it is not okay.

How can I open all my tabs from an old laptop to a new one automatically? I tried to look for any buttons, but did not find any other than having to do it one at a time

youtube is the only site that streams properly(mostly), any other site gets stuck with 3 god dam dots in the middle. OTHER BROWSERS work JUST FINE. but I dont want to use internet explorer anymore. FF USED to work well.

some site literally just stop playing video. for 10+ minutes or until I intervene. if I copy the link and put it into edge it streams without issues.

internet, router, and pc are not the problem, I'm having a firefox issue. ive reinstalled the browser and cleared cache but nothing fixes streaming.

I was in my account on walmart.com earlier today. When I next tried to access it I was unable to get into the website using Firefox. Even if I simply type "walmart.com", it takes me to the log-in page but it doesn't allow me to log in. I can't even browse their website in Firefox. I restarted my computer (desktop), but that didn't help. I have always used Firefox to access Walmart. I tried my other browsers, and they work fine.

I had technical with Firefox recently and lost a bunch of tabs and all my bookmarks. Is there any way I can retrieve all of that? I looked in the preferences history and nothing. Thanks.

After Firefox crashed today I restarted it and I got a session and tabs that I last used over a month ago, and none of the simple fixes worked. But not to worry, I thought, because important folders (including Firefox's Profiles folder) get backed up automatically every night, and just yesterday I reset my "homepage" to include all the currently open tabs. So I thought restoring my session and recovering my open tabs would be a simple matter of replacing current files with backed-up versions of those files. But I can't figure out which files to use or if that strategy is even possible. For example, some of the support materials state that recovery.jsonlz4 in the sessionstore-backups folder gets updated continuously with session and tabs information, but on my system that file abruptly stopped being updated in July. Similarly, previous.jsonlz4 and upgrade.jsonlz4-*** stopped being updated in May. (FYI, sessionstore.jsonlz4 gets created when I close Firefox, just like it's supposed to, but I don't have any backed-up versions of it because it only exists when Firefox is closed.) And the tabs currently listed in the "homepage" are also from a month ago, and I can't figure out what file those tabs are stored in. Help!

I recently found that my saved logins had disappeared. Not sure if this happened after a Firefox crash, Firefox update or Windows update. Unfortunately after reviewing the information on recovering the file I found that none of the methods worked for me. Also since I had no idea this had happened I had already done some password resets on web sites and Firefox had saved them which most likely wiped out the backup logins file. This is a real black mark for Firefox. If the logins.json file is corrupted you should display a prominent warning on startup so that users have a fair chance to recover before inadvertently wiping out the back up file. I do not use mobile devices (and you should NOT assume that everyone does) so there is no other device to recover the logins from. Fortunately I save some passwords in a password manager so not all is lost. But its hard to have confidence in your browser if this can happen without warning or notification. Very sloppy work.

On the web browser the tool bars have grown to fill half the screen. Book marks i was able to control but can find no solution for the others. I cant use fire fox like this. Opera and many others did this in the past and we all came over to fire fox because you were one of the few who didnt take half the screen from us. Is there a solution

other than full screen?

I got the message : "The address wasn’t understood Firefox doesn’t know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (javascript) isn’t associated with any program or is not allowed in this context. You might need to install other software to open this address.". What to do ? (the same does not happen with Edge, for the same URL, in this case my personal account on the French ministry of finance...)
