I created a web extension (Firefox). I want to add logs to a external file (example: console.txt) from the content scripts and the background script. For example : write "Begin web extension".

How can i do that? Thank you in advance for your help

SIMPLE... look... I'm on MY !!!... computer !... And it's MY !!!... firefox !... SO.... It's up to ME !!! ... to decide ALL THE Settings of MY firefox !!!!! ..... ... PLEASE... can you tell me... where is the page, to learn HOW to develop YOUR-firefox !!!... OR... if, from firefox 1.0, it's time for me... to go to chrome, or the new-edge ?????..... ... Have a good END-YEAR !!!... (YES, the beginig's done !...) (an idea ... maybe a save point for user characteristics ... like ... windows ??? ...I ... I say that ... but I said NOTHING? ... A few days ago a thing called Other Bookmarks decided to intrude/interfere with my Bookmarks Toolbar. I can't get rid of it. When I try to delete it, Delete is grayed out. I use the Bookmarks Toolbar constantly. I have condensed titles to squeeze as much onto it as I can, then this thing horns in and knocks three entries I use regularly off.

How do I get rid of this damn thing I didn't ask for and won't let me delete?

I recently discovered that I have a glitch using the Firefox 84.0 search bar in the toolbar. If I do a Ebay search with one word in the description the search is completed nicely. If I add another word to the description, the search takes me to the Ebay home page only. I have tried this when signed out of Firefox and Ebay with the same results. I cleared cookies and site data which did nothing to help. Same issues in safe mode. No matter the search criteria, one word searches work and two or more word searches do not. I then found that I have three computers all having the same issue. Perplexing.

Whenever I try to sign into my eBay account, I have to solve a captcha puzzle by sliding a puzzle piece into the puzzle. After I do this (and get a message from eBay stating "Verification Succeeded") I then get a pop-up box, apparently from Firefox, stating that Firefox needs to "repeat any [prior] action" to display the page, but when I click the RESEND button, it just takes me back to the puzzle, which I have to do all over again and get caught in an endless loop. I called eBay, and those idiots were totally useless in fixing this problem, and told me that Firefox is "blocking" the page.

And yes, I downloaded the most recent version of Firefox and I'm still having this problem.

How do I fix this problem?

I have used Firefox as my main browser for years - suddenly I have no sound from the internet. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no sound. plewase for some help.

I need help restoring my passwords. I saw a suggestion to refresh Firefox, and so I did, thinking it wasn't more than disabling the add-ons. I didn't realize it would eliminate my logins and passwords. Can someone help me find them? Otherwise I'm in some trouble.

Unable to login to aol mail thru firefox. It says "no longer logged in" and an error page pops up. Aol loads fine on my microsoft edge browser https://mail.aol.com/webmail-std/en-us/error?code=ERR1800

I was used to the Subject, From, Date etc showing the latest email received to be at the bottom of the pane, but now it's at the top. I would like to know how to invert it? Regards, Robin Sheridan.

When I'm on the Firefox browser, I note that if I want to search the web for something, it uses Google. Does that make sense? Did I do something wrong when I installed Firefox? If so, how do I correct it? Thanks.

I've installed Nightly the same way I have for years on my latest Fedora 33 install—i.e., download tarball, extract into /opt, set appropriate chmod and chown, make .desktop file, etc.—but certain videos certain videos on certain sites refuse to play. A Fedora discussion discussion led me to think it's how Fedora 33 may sandbox apps; I haven't yet had any hits on solutions in the Fedora groups, so I thought I'd ask here, since I can't be the only one with this issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1 day ago firefox suggested I run refresh on my system. So of course I did without concern UNTIL I opened my webpages today and they are all different, smaller, harder to read and just not as they were before I ran refresh. I also didn't realize I would lose ONE TAB, but after reading about refresh I realized that would go away as well. I can live with that but I don't like the way webpages look. The pages look a little blurry as well. I'm using windows 10 and nothing else has been added and/or deleted. Any ideas? Thank you

Been having this issue for the last few weeks where Firefox just won't load YouTube properly. In particular, livestreams won't play, chat always show as "disconnected from chat" and I can't even access the profile menu (clicking on my profile pic on the top left just shows a loading icon forever).

Tried the following without any luck: 1. Safemode 2. Clearing all cache 3. Refresh firefox (When I first did a refresh, it started working again, then I went to sleep and the next morning the same problem is back again)

Any help would be much appreciated.
