Most of the time I cannot print my emails because an "add blocker" is installed. So now, I no longer use Firefox, since when I use Microsoft, I have no such problem.

in the firefox browser is there any way to see the casting the browser screen to chromecast on tv. similar to 'cast to media device' in edge browser or chrome browser.

I get the following message when going online with Firefox: "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem." I've followed all the prompts to restart the computer, refresh the computer, delete the favicons.sqlite and places.sqlite and it won't allow me to delete them. This happened yesterday as well. Yesterday I could delete those files and everything was restored. But today I can't get it to work.

why can't I use the lingq importer extention? I get a message for all my extentions that says: firefox extension can't read and change data on this site. It's preventing me from using the LingQ importer extention.

For several sites, when i check 'trust this device' it doesn't work. next time i signin it still requires 2fa from the site. i've checked and the certificates do exist as i get a message saying already exists when i try to import. this is a very user hostile function. I do not have this issue with Chrome or Microsoft Edge!!!!! i hate to begin using one of these vs Mozilla Firefox to get around this but i may have to do so. my wife and i share access to critical sites so if i need to see her info or she needs to see mine, we both have to be available in order to access the site. Mozilla Firefox 'bug' is requiring us to do so and it doesn't satisfy our requirements. any ways to solve this issue is greatly appreciated. so far no 'searched' solutions work.

This started a few weeks ago. I thought it might have been because I synced the passwords with other devices. I reverted it back.

When in about:logins, I click on the log in button but nothing happens.

I received a scam Apple (security) popup (on which I never clicked) and from that point on, some 30+ obsolete tabs congregate across the top Firefox browser window. How do i lose all these unwanted tabs?

I currently have a 'bad/rouge' session of Windows 7 Firefox (don't really know how that happened) open (7 'Windows', each with one empty Tab plus 1 'Window', with only 1 populated tab (Yahoo Mail)! I need to close Firefox in order to restart my laptop (strange things have been happening, including not being able to access the internet)!! On restarting, I want to be able to open Firefox with the previous session I had with my 8 'Windows', each with dozens and dozens of Tabs! Please help, I sorely need those many 'Windows' and Tabs!!!

Firefox slows down when I use web developer tools, I use this whenever I try to save an image on Instagram or other sites that I go to just to save an image or look for the video using the web tools.

Is there a way to fix this issue it lags the browser or it freezes for a second.

Whenever I select tab and then start typing in the page search box it automatically jumps to the URL/Address bar. This is not only annoying but it makes it difficult for me to see what I'm typing, and it often results in unwanted typing errors. I have yet to encounter a single longtime Firefox user who thinks this is a good idea, but I have met several who've decided to drop Firefox and start using Chrome just to be done with it. I've been using Firefox since early 2005 and I've mostly been happy with it but this is just to annoying to continue. I'm complaining because the feature exits, I'm complaining because there's no option to opt for those of us who find it annoying and will never become comfortable with it.

If there is a working fix that I've been unable to find, then please point me to where or what it is so that I can apply it.

I have managed to figure out ways to remove items from context menus from various pages here and around the web however it always seems to leave an additional unwanted separator line that I cannot find how to get rid of.

There are a number of additional lines I am looking to remove but the current one that is annoying me (based on most usage) is the additional line between 'Copy Link Without Site Tracking' and Search which is an add-on - Simple Context Search - https://tinyurl.com/yck5c (as shown in the attachment).

I did have 'search google for...' directly above the 'Search for Google' option which I removed.

I also removed 'Copy Link' which was above the 'Copy Link Without Site Tracking' option which I also removed.

Hope the above makes sense and any help greatfully appreciated.

Hi and thanks for your help. I was playing around with my DMARC settings for my new site and was looking around at who was hosting my WordPress domain for http://ibizignite.com, and Google directed me to GoDaddy. That was wrong. However, in my fooling around, somehow GoDaddy and this associate Westechnologies keeps popping up when I open up my browser after booting up my computer, and I cannot get rid of it. I don't know where to find it, because there is no associated extension anywhere in my extension list.

I tried to use another add-on to block it, and it does, but the darn site keeps appearing every startup after a fresh boot, and neither Westechnologies not GoDaddy appear anywhere in my Zone Map or anywhere else in my registry. Can anyone help me get rid of it please?

Please see the attached screenshot. I get this popup EVERY TIME I open FireFox. I've tried a number of different suggested "fixes" from Google Searches with no success.

I want this popup GONE.

When you added a bookmark to a site in Firefox there used to be an option that when you hovered over the bookmark a dropdown would appear showing recent changes or additions to the site (see attached). It doesn't seem to be there any more - is there any means of restoring it? Thank you.

I was using FF on Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS. Had version FF 120.x and playing video in Netflix worked fine. Then I updated to FF 124.x and playing video stopped with error F7355-1203.

I've checked the DRM setting and it is enabled, I checked addons and I have OpenH264 and Widevine installed, both set to always active.

I've checked installed codecs and I do have libavcodec58 installed. No update for that available via apt. I also have ffmpeg installed, no problem with that either. I can play Netflix videos in Chrome, but not in Firefox now. Something happened to Firefox when I updated from 120.x to 124.x. Today I updated to 125.x, same problem, Netflix video won't play.

I've unchecked the DRM setting and re-checked it, and that does reinstalled Widevine but does not fix the problem.

Any ideas what could be the cause?

hello everyone; i have a strange issue with my yubikey and firefox on redhat linux 8. (i can't upgrade to red hat 9 and it's technically oracle linux)

its works fine for the first x hours (where x is usually between 1 and 3 hours) and then firefox will invariably stop recognizing the yubikey touch. yubikey works with any other application in that journalctl shows that systemd is aware of it's existence when i plug/unplug it and i get a string in my terminal and text editors whenever i touch they key both before and after it stops working with firefox.

i've tried these things but the behavior is still the same: - regenerating my ~/.mozilla configuration directory - toggling all *webauth* keys in about:config - switching from yum to flatpak firefox installation - switching from gnome to kde to xfce - switching from Wayland to X11

there are no error messages; journalctl doesn't show any either; and chrome doesn't seem to have this problem, but i don't trust chrome and, interestingly, chrome exhibits the same behavior when using xfce.

the only thing that works reliability is rebooting each time it happens and, as you can imagine, that's 100% intrusive and i lose all momentum in my productivity.

I have support licensing from both Oracle and Yubikey and i've asked them for help and they both point the finger at each other so i'm stuck with this; any help would be appreciated!
