This is a thank you follow-up to my yesterdays' post starting with; "firefox version 89 is insanely slow with no explanation had to try reset...." I can't find my msg from yesterday started with this, but wanted to thank you all for fixing Everything - Overnight! I am So glad I waited to, "system restore," until today bec it(MSs' OS) gave warning it might not restore All of the elements correctly. Thank you for your hard work and just appreciating how essential the browsers' Working is to our lives. It is. Thank you, thank you, thank you! :) (I'm now thinking I should maybe put my updates on "notify me first /let me download when ready"...but I'm not really sure if that would accomplish anything because I'd still have to download them to see if there were problem/s that effected My devise in particular. Community posts don't tell you that - or what to do. Pop-up status msgs would be appreciated.. if you'd have time...even if not all knowing...just to know some are aware of X issue...working on it...estimated back up time... whether we could/should do a "system restore" & wait until further notice to DL again. But I guess our issues are what you need to see to fix them...But I digress. Thank you again for working hard to store functionality. I needed something right to happen in my life - someone to be an expert at what they do. Thanks for your humanity.

New installation on Win10, all drivers and everything up to date on a powerful Lenovo laptop. The side buttons on the right don't all work either, Settings for instance gives me nothing. Don't know why it's gone like this, it worked fine for a few days and after some general housekeeping (getting rid of One Drive and other low level stuff) it just is a white screen with the status bar bottom left showing your page choice looking like it's about to load but it never does, no error message nothing. i've tried re installation 3 times and refreshed firefox repeatedly btwn installation, all the same nothing. I tried Safe mode as well to see if there was some graphic issue as the laptop has good graphics power but no change. Would like to get my profile and passwords and favourites working again soon hopefully. Can anyone help?

I will have only 5 tabs open and it will go up to around 1000-1100 MB. I have tried refreshing Firefox a bunch, uninstall and reinstall extensions, clearing the memory in about:memory, and have tried getting help on reddit as well. I love the look and snappiness of Firefox, and want to use it badly, but can't due to this fact. Can someone help me?

This is not a question but a statement of disappointment: I am very disappointed with the latest update. I really, really don't like the latest version. Web pages (i.e. YouTube and others take too long to load and execute), the search option on the new tab is useless (I hate that it goes to the URL bar), spacing in the bookmarks list is greater which makes it take longer to find a bookmark, UI updates are Meh, etc.., etc.., etc..
I've always stayed away from Google and MS browsers. Firefox has always been my browser and it now sucks just like the rest! I'm going back to v88.x until you get your shit together and fix things.

Following a recent update to version 89, a previously stable Firefox installation is now almost completely unusable. Just getting to the point of getting to this page where I am writing this post has seen THREE Firefox crashes, as switching tab to my email so as to get the verification code for my mozilla account was seemingly too much for Firefox to handle. Viewing Facebook messages and scrolling up to see comments made earlier in the day sees the layout of the page completely screwed up (main content shifted to bottom right corner, scrollbar shifted elsewhere, part of the page blank) and at that point trying to switch to another tab creates a strange hybrid situation where some of the contents from both tabs is merged together and is then the only content visible no matter which tab is then clicked on. Using Google Maps works for about 30 seconds and then the entire page flashes repeatedly with every move of the mouse, before this triggers a browser crash. I can be reading content on a news website and suddenly the tab crashes for no reason, and in most cases the browser then crashes thereafter. Restarting the browser and the news page tab will be shown and begin to load but then immediately crashes. These are just some of the issues that have occurred within just the past 2 hours, but this is a cumulative effect as Firefox has been becoming increasingly unstable to this point after updating to version 89 earlier in the week.... No other changes have been made since updating Firefox, here has been no Windows 10 updates, no other applications have been installed or updated, no other software has been either added or removed.
I could run the previous version of Firefox for several days, leaving the computer running but idle for a few hours each day, and still come back and resume where I had left off without issue. Now with Firefox 89 it is struggling to even go 30 minutes without tabs or the entire browser crashing. When can we expct a fix, or is there otherwise a way to roll back Firefox to version 88 without having to do a full uninstall/reinstall...?

I'm facing speed differences between Chromium and Firefox. I checked all the hints how to speed up FF, nothing helped. I also de-installed FF complete (linux Mint) and reinstalled with new settings (initially raw system only) but difference between Chromium and FF is still given, FF appr. 130 MBit/s download and 150 upload, Chromium 190 -200 down, same for up. Checked with OOKLA, same server, repeated checks over 5 days. I have a 200MBit/s FTTH connection

For several days now, most websites the images don't load. Ive done all the normal things (clear cache, reload website, troubleshooting, whatever) and the issue persists. Seems like this is an issue that happens with firefox every other year for several months then some developer finally realizes there is a problem and they manage to fix it. How about NOT BREAKING IT TO BEGIN WITH. Anyway, is there anything at all I can do to fix the extremely annoying issue other than dumping firefox once and for all?

I'm on a Mac with the latest OS, no new security or software updates available. Every day for about 4 months, Firefox will just close itself, not crash, just close, and upon reopening has had the search engine changed from my usual (Bing), to something called "Default Search Engine". when typing anything into the search bar, after an extremely quick flash of a page that says not secure, I'm sent to Yahoo. I've done refreshes multiple times, uninstalled and reinstalled add-ons, and tried to look in my system files for anything suspicious, but my understanding of them is pretty elementary. I'm suspecting some sort of malware as the most likely source, but if anybody can help me with this I would really appreciate it. It's happened when using Chrome too.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1308707#question-reply In that thread it is claimed to be a Windows problem. If that were true, why do the exact same sites snap open in Chrome, Opera, and Edge? Often, bot NOT always, stopping the load (X) then reloading (circular arrow) fixes the problem. Often this combo needs to be done multiple times. It happens on my home computer with only uBlock Origin as an add on, and my office computer with NO add ons. So, is there a fix or do I ditch FireFox?
