When running a remote desktop connection, if the the remote computer has a web player running (YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, etc.) it will stop playback and audio will stop outputting from the remote computer.

However, you can hit play again on the web player and it will resume playing. But once you end your remote desktop connection the player will stop again and all audio or video output

There is a post here (https://mzl.la/3Pg6xU3) that stated you can change "security.sandbox.content.level" value to "2" but this did not work.

Any ideas?

After Firefox asked me to reset it and I created a folder with old firefox data, now Firefox does not open at all. I have tried to install it from scratch several times but the program is still not responding. I copied the folder with the old data to the 'Profiles' folder in Library/ApplicationSupport/Firefox and it still doesn't work (the icon keeps bouncing without the program opening). Since the update on 123.0.1 on 7th March 2024 I am unable to access online banking on either Lloyds or Halifax UK banking. I have tried removing all cookies and then all data and then full refresh of software all to no effect. I can log in to both banks via Edge or Gener8 with no problem hence it must be something to do with the Mozilla update done on 7th March as I last accessed both banks using Firefox on 4th March 2024

Long time technical, firefox user. One day starting firefox caused the system to slow unacceptably down. No changes before other than a possible background update from v122. Tried to do a Fresh Firefox v123, but firefox is attempting/constant localhost connections (ports in 40k-65k range) (attached screenshot).

It's on a Windows 10 desktop, uninstalled Firefox v123, manually deleted %appdata%\mozilla and %localappdata%\mozilla, reinstalled firefox, as soon as firefox.exe executes, I get constant localhost connection attempts from the "firefox.exe" process (Process Monitor image attached).

Ran dism, it found no system files had issues. Only firefox has an issue, the system is great without it running.

What does firefox use the localhost connection for?

Is there a secondary component that is required by firefox that it is not running on execution that it is looking for?

For example this page, https://yle.fi/a/3-11868513 , causes my Firefox to go unresponsive for maybe 10-20 seconds at a time, when scrolling up and down. Windows works fine. It's not the only one, I have found some other on that same news site, which use the same kind of construct for a page that contains both video and text.

When I open Firefox in troubleshooting mode, page works fine. But in normal mode, even if I disable all my extensions (except search engines), page still hangs.

On the other hand, I haven't encountered this kind of behaviour in normal mode in any other pages or sites. So it may be something very spesific that site uses on those particular pages. So it is a minor problem but because disabling all extensions did not help, I thought it might be worth bringing up.

Hi I have been using Firefox for the longest time and never had any issues, recently whenever I try to open the browser it crashes, I am currently using an early 2011 MacBook Pro, funny thing is all the browsers are crashing apart from the crappy safari. Is my hardware too old?

Firefox is frequently deleting entries made on websites. I am entering information in boxes (like this one) on websites when suddenly FF bails out, the data vanishes off the screen and leaves me back where I started. It happened several times attempting to post this question. This seems to have something to do with hitting a key or the space bar--but what and why eludes me. I have tried changing settings on trackpad and mouse without any impact. Although this is a recent issue with a new computer, the issue does not occur using the same computer on Chrome. Any ideas?

In devtools when i search in all resources it takes 2+ minutes to find all of the matches, while chrome is near instant, same website. theres around 200 requests. On my laptop it completes faster though so im a little confused.

In answer to these questions: I use Chrome or Duck Duck Go. Duck Duck Go is my default browser. If I copy and paste link from email in browser it opens, but if I click on link in email I get the error message above. Also when you reply the email is a do not reply email so I can't reply back. It is sort in the background like a page behind the main screen I am viewing but it causes Firefox to crash. I have seen other posts say disable hardware acceleration, but mine is disabled, others say disabled extension, but I only have ublock! It is not my graphics card as it is all up to date. My laptop is new 6 months old.

Hi, lately I have been having issues with updates. When Firefox browser in MacOS gets update, it ask me to sign in to all platforms again. This wasn't the case at all before.

The PTL network stopped working for playing live tv, it's the only live broadcast I have trouble with, all other PTL network features work fine, it does not matter what performance setting is used.
