Hello I don't have sound on Firefox. I made all points from article mozilla's about trobleshooting with sound, but it still doesn't works. I have sound on others - Chrome, Edge, Opera. I tried also install Firefox to my laptop and it's the same problem. I turned off blocking of sound in settings. What can I do with it? I very like Firefox and don't image to be without it. I recently upgraded to Windows 11 and installed the newest Firefox 111.0. I'm familiar with about:config and all general settings in programs involved.

I used to have any link open in a new tab, but stay focused on the current one. DuckDuckGo search results opened new tabs but stayed on the search results page. I can no longer do that and can't figure out what changed or how to return it to this behavior.

Hi, I don't know why, but my firefox's console suddenly started highlight dom elements only with borders, without background colors for padding and margin as usual. How to get them back? Attaching 2 images: one from firefox, with current boder-highlights, and sadly one from chrome, because firefox doesn't have anymore, with background highlights, just as an example of how, circa, was FF before.

How to get back?

Was filling out pdf version of 2022 IRS tax forms and discovered leading zero is suppressed in Firefox PDF v109.0.1 64 bit on Windows 10. "Before" image is after typing leading zero but before 'enter' or moving to next field. "After" image is after typing leading zero and after 'enter' or moving to next field. The leading zero disappears.

Saving pdf does not change leading zero suppression.

To see if the pdf document was configured by the IRS to suppress leading zero, I opened the same form in Microsoft Edge v109.0.1518.78 64 bit on Windows 10. It retained the leading zero after typing then 'enter' or moving to next field.

While using MS Edge to complete pdf forms fixes my immediate issues, there still seems to be a defect in Firefox pdf.

I logged onto my daughters school google account through firefox and now they are managing my browser. Which registry do I need to delete in order to remove this so I can use firefox again? Can I just delete the entire Mozilla folder

When booting up my PC last night, it wouldn't immediately show an active online connection even though the router had all green lights (as it usually would when I'm able to go online) -- it showed the globe icon in the System Tray instead of that box-like one that resembles a monitor.

In the past, when something like this happened, I thought that I was able to restart the PC and it would then hopefully connect just fine and, when I'd then open my Firefox browser (the latest version), all of my MANY tabs would be there.

This time, however, that didn't work and it took about 45 minutes (and, I admit, several attempts to restart the PC, usually from the Start Menu but once with a hard boot by pressing the power button for several seconds, to try to prod it along) before the computer could indeed go online. Unfortunately, this seems to have "erased" all of the open tabs that I had and I don't know how to get them back (though I hope I can somehow).

Can you please tell me if there's indeed a way to somehow go back more than one (1) session so that I can get those tabs back (maybe they're encoded somehow in my Firefox profile?), and, if so, what that is? (FYI, my research found a suggestion {https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/discussions/restore-previous-session/td-p/24278} to edit the browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes setting in about:config so I then went in and increased the number from 1, but I doubt that'd suddenly make earlier sessions accessible...only maybe adding sessions in the future that I could then restore from. Is that right?)

So, I have a couple of bookmarks folders with something like 200+ entries, with the folders themselves on my bookmarks toolbar. Previously, when I opened the folder from the toolbar, it would default to the last position observed, e.g. if I selected a bookmark from the middle, it'd open back up to the middle.

It's stopped doing that lately, and instead always opens to the top of the folder. I realize this sounds minor, but it's catastrophic for my use case. Anyone got any tips on how to make it revert to the previous behavior?

Remember search and form history. This setting always resets to false after the latest two FireFox updates and I need to enable it again.

After logging out and back in the setting is disabled again. I've removed all plugins and extensions I've added and the issue persists.

I've tried Places Database : Verify Integrity but the issue persists on very Restart or loggin. In the past I've even removed FireFox with a 3rd party uninstaller to remove all remnants of FF but, as a very long term user of FF (right from the early Win XP days), this issue pops up from time to time and it's really starting to become extremely annoying.

Apart from Refreshing FF or the total nuke and reinstall option, what else can be done to stop this issue?

hi, i see a new addon in my bookmarks bar- extensions , on the right above... its not possible to drag it down to customize toolbar .i can drag /up and down/other itmes buy why not this one? pls fix it...

So switched over to firefox from chrome recently and one feature I really liked on chrome was the fact that bookmarks that appeared on the browser toolbar also appeared on the drop down menu: both were mirrored. Unfortunately, these appear to be two distinct bookmark sections on firefox. See the attached photo: the horizontal bookmarks toolbar displays different bookmarks than the drop down bookmarks menu. Is there any way to make the two mirror each other without duplicating bookmarks?

When I'm on a webpage and drag the URL onto the Bookmark Toolbar it's showing up as an URL instead of the page name like it used to.

For example: If I was on this page: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35895322/sources-cowboys-trade-texans-wr-brandin-cooks

Before the last update if I dragged that URL to the Bookmark Toolbar it would say: "Cowboys trade for Texans WR Brandin Cooks"

After the update it just shows the URL.

This makes it VERY hard to remember what each bookmark is.

Can anyone help me to bring this back to using the page name instead of the URL on this Toolbar?

I am trying to block out the new little "stick marks" that post while I try to log on to a site that that I need to "google" and log on to. I tried to sign out of all the "outside sites" that want to log on, but there are sites that I need to log on to and have done this in the past. I usually go to these sites because they are important to my transacting business, accessing my bank, places I pay my bills, etc. If I want to get to these and order or pay a bill, I have to unblock each one of them??? How do I do that? If a credit company wants to contact me, they cannot do this even if we have contacted each other previously? Really?

How do I undo this already-marked system and get out of it? As you can guess, I am old and not up with the times. Please simplify your answers so a not-technical person can understand it.

How can Mozilla help? STOP INTENTIONALLY RUINING ALL USE OF FIREFOX, THEN LEAVE ME WITH NOTHING BUT A CHAT BOX AFTER MOZILLA RUINED THE BROWSER. On16/March/2023 Microsoft stated this PC was fully up to date, so please don't bother blaming the PC when it was the FORCED update that broke this browser.

Prior to today, occasionally I would need to restore from a Time Machine backup the files "places.sqlite", "places.sqlite-shm", and "places.sqlite-wal" into my default profile, because I would lose my bookmarks & history.

However, beginning this morning, that procedure did not work. Every time I open up Firefox, the "places.sqlite" file would corrupt immediately and no attempt at restoring (from any backup date/time) would fix the issue.

I am running Mac OS 11.7.2 (Big Sur) and Firefox 111.0.

This is VERY frustrating, because I rely heavily on my bookmarks and passwords.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Hi, I have noticed that when using the latest release of Mozilla Firefox on Windows 10 and Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, when I go to ABCnews.go.com and click into a story, there is an autostarting video. But instead of either waiting until I click on it or autostarting normally, it flashes wildly. I have disabled all extensions and the problem persists. Has anyone else encountered this? And more importantly, does anyone have a fix for this issue?

im getting unknown issuer on my thin-clients with a FF ESR 45.9.0. This FF is tied to the OS (Ubuntu 16.04) and the OS is the most recent compatible version for our version of the thin-clients. So yeah its super old and I'm not able to update any of this. There is no security.enterprise_roots.enabled option available. What would be the best way to solve this issue for ~400 clients. Everything that has an active state seems to have suddenly gained huge thick borders, usually grey or black. This applies to UI and page elements. I have no idea what happened, I'm guessing an update changed 'something', but how do I nondestructively fix it?

All webpages seem affected.
