I have an issue with the address bar in private windows. Normally when you click on the search bar in the new tab page, it will redirect the cursor to the address bar instead of letting you use the search bar.

I found the following solution on the forum here that works for normal windows: go to the about:config page and set browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar to false.

For private windows, this fix does not work. It will still go to the address bar instead of letting you use the search bar. Is there another way for me to fix this so that it will also work in private windows?

I read this article on enabling/disabling hardware acceleration and I am missing the checkbox to toggle it. I am wondering if this is a firefox bug or if something about my hardware setup is unsupported. I'm using a 1080ti running on the most recent drivers, 546.33. Windows 10 Education version 22H2

Is there a way for me to make custom JavaScript code to add things, like a built-in music player, to Firefox? I think it would be pretty neat if users could code their own things to add to Firefox.

I just had to clean install Firefox after having problems. I've pretty much set it up how I want it, except when I quit Firefox and then re-open it all the tabs come back. Which I don't want. The box in the settings page for opening with previous session is unchecked. What else am I missing? I re-started my computer just in case that was an issue but the problem continues. Thanks

I would like to know how I can middle click with my scroll wheel to open a bookmark in a new tab, but not be dumped straight into that new tab. I like opening multiple tabs at once before going into them.

There are questions about organizing the process of overseeing extensions.

It’s very strange when you see the “Recommended” extension, and at the same time you continue to see negative reviews, fresh ones. But another thing is offensive: the review submission form does not have feedback. I would like to receive a more detailed answer and user recommendations.

Let’s say a user writes that the design of the extension is not intuitive, that he lost information because of this extension and wasted a lot of time. And this is not consistent with the "Recommended" criteria. Causes dissonance.

Maybe it’s worth expanding the possibility of interactive interaction with reviews, with clients among themselves. Maybe it’s worth expanding the support base for these extensions? Link the application version to reviews to avoid misunderstandings?

The File -> Page setup option used to be visible by default. Now I have to dig into the "hazardous" about:config menu to enable it. This was available by default for years (decades?). Why is it now hidden away from average uses who may not need or want to mess with the custom prefs? Feels like Firefox is becoming more difficult to use rather than easier.

print.prefer_system_dialog and print.show_page_setup_menu seem like really basic features that the average user would want by default. Both require a trip into about:config now.

Hi Mozilla Suport teams, i am currently using the mozilla for the developer version and the app runs flawlessly, and i love it. But i have some suggestion for the developer at mozilla to make a tab that can group the tab into a fresh tab like the google chrome has, and since i open so many tab in this browser, i would absolutely love it where the feature of grouping tab is available for me, so i can group them in name and leave it there, rahter than open up more than 10+ tabs in a window. Hello, while using the Firefox browser links, commands and selecting of tabs keep being activated by simply hovering over. Is there a way to disable that? I have it disabled on my computer commands and it only happens on Firefox.

It’s driving me nuts and in some cases it has fired up actions that could be problematic like prompting emails to send etc.

I signed into Firefox on a lab computer that has too little storage space to install plugins (<1MB storage space left.)

Naturally, plugins did not install. I wanted to ensure that Firefox would not even attempt to install them in the future, so I set the browser not to sync add-ons.

I don't know whether what follows is because of that setting, or because I set it too late. In either case, my dozen or so plugins on my main computer have now all been uninstalled. I don't know the names of all the plugins I was using anymore.

1. Can I recover my automatically uninstalled plugins? 2. Can this bug be patched?

It says "Missing host permissions for the tab"

As i said I want to disable the crtl + W shortcut but i cant find a way to do it. This shortcut makes my day a lot harder cos i sometimes press it by accident. It's annoying. Please help m e unbind/delete it :)
