I am running Apple OS High Sierra, 10.13.6 on an older iMac Mid 2011. My Preferences have always been set, or checked, General_Tabs "Open links in Tabs instead of NEW Window."
The result is a Firefox screen full of Single Windows with Single Tabs. Some Windows I may continue to add Tabs to but most of the time I copy the link from the NEW Window and paste the link on the older Window. If I am in a hurry the result will be many many Opened NEW Windows with one or two NEW Tabs. See attachments. This has been going on for at least 6 months now.
Note your checkbox titled "Email me when someone answers the thread" does not work but please email me at "[email removed from public]".
Thanks in advance!

I often visit the website rsn.org. This is a media site that allows people to post comments. In the past, I never had a problem using Firefox and the pages always loaded with the comment section at the bottom.
Starting this past week, the comment section is no longer visible. I did not change any settings in Firefox nor did I upgrade my OS or anything else. I queried the site owner to see if there were problems or changes that could have instigated this but there were not. I copied the url into Safari and was able to see the page as it should appear.
WHAT HAS FIREFOX DONE AND WHY??? I have read all the articles but nothing seems to address this problem which is clearly of Firefox' making. Why is Firefox blocking this access and how do I get them to stop?

Please suggest a solution for the problem installation. If you can't resolve and install, please refund my money.

"delete cookies and site data when firefox is closed" now gets checked against my will. i'm not checking it and have never had it set to do that. this is wasting tons of time for me, resetting my shortcuts and signing in to sites that are a pain in the ass to sign in to (specifically bandcamp). other settings get changed also, but not all of them, and my personal info remains. but a lot of time is also wasted correcting all the settings that have changed behind my back. this started happening within the past week. i've changed nothing.
it's not when i turn my computer off. i had to reset everything 2 days ago, but when i got home yesterday and turned my computer on it was working properly - settings intact. i used it for several hours, went to bed, turning the internet off, as i always do, and leaving pine player on. (it's not pine player causing the problem. i wasn't using it the other times) the computer never went into sleep mode, as per my settings... but after turning the internet back on this morning and opening firefox my settings are changed again.
any ideas? Thanks if you try to help

I am operating in macOS 10.13.6 [the latest my iMAC will accept] using Firefox, and MSN.COM's Outlook E-Mail client. Usually when you "hover" over the e-mail sender's name in "FROM", their URL is produced -- very useful to check for spoofing of legitimate sites. This week I've received several e-mails where this did not work. Is this a new spam tactic, and are there any solutions ? Any thoughts ??
Thanks for your help and be well, John

I have the option 'Show editor when saving' checked, so I'm getting the bookmark editor popup window when I want to save a bookmark .
However, more often than not, a bookmark is being saved without me clicking the Save button .
My understanding is that it's a feature of sorts, but it's driving me bonkers, and I just can't remember what I need to do to not save a bookmark - hit esc. , click the star button again, use the keyboard shortcut, or whatever it is . Nor do I care to be frank, I really just want Firefox to not save a bookmark without confirmation , which I thought would be the main point of having the optional editor window .
Is there any way to disable autosave for bookmarks completely ? Sorry about the rant, it's just so unintuitive and annoying, and I'm tired of cleaning out my bookmark folders all the time ...

Hi, I have an old mid 2011 iMac running on OS High Sierra 10.13.6. I have updated to the latest version, I restarted my computer, and Firefox crashes suddenly at least a couple of times a week, if not more. Is this a problem that can be fixed or is this just going to be the status quo now?
Thanks for any help or suggestions that may help. Mz. C

I tried starting with all extensions disabled - same results.
Is the development crew monitoring this? Something changed with this release that's causing this. I wouldn't mind if it didn't work, but crashing the browser is a no-no.
