I do not want to use Chrome as my default browser because it slows my computer down. However, I have numerous documents that I need to access quickly, hopefully in the same manner here with your awesome browser just as I accessed them on Chrome. Is there an extension I can load that will give access to all the Google office products like docs sheet and the like? I would like to uninstall Chrome.

Had to reformat and reinstall my Intel Mac with System 10.4.11. Can't download install dmg from the ftp site because my id and password don't get me into the FTP website.

I have been using Firefox for quite some time. Suddenly it stopped working on my computer, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I keep getting a message that there is a problem with the download and installation. Can anyone help? Since support is being discontinued for W7 Firefox, would someone please recommend the best version of Firefox for Windows 7? Security is not a concern, since I have reliable 3rd-Party security setup(s) for my Windows 7 systems.

how do i open/load all firefox tabs from another device into active tabs on this device? should be more intuitive and direct than having to navigate 4 levels deep into menus: view > sidebar > synced tabs > open all tabs

enhancement request to offer 'open all tabs' on level 1.

I had posted my question yesterday and received a response from jscher2000. I sent a reply to the response by email a short while ago, but I wasn't sure it went through. Therefore, at the possible expense of having you receive the reply twice, I have recopied it here:

Thank you for trying to help me download Firefox onto my computer. As per your advice, I first tried shutting down and restarting my computer. That did not work. Then I went onto the link you sent me: https://www. mozilla,org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release . The installation began, but only got up to around 80 - 90%. It stopped at the point where it said Execute: "C:|Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\default-browser-agent.exe" register-task 308046B... (It looks like there might be some more letters and/or numbers after the "B", but I can't see what they are.) I waited a few more hours to see if the installation would continue, but it did not. I then went back to try downloading Firefox in the regular way. First I got a message, "Now installing. Firefox will be ready in just a few moments." Again, installation proceeded to around 80 - 90 %, and then I got a message, "Hmmm. For some reason, we could not install Firefox. Choose OK to start over." Starting over didn't help. Only with Firefox (default) and Norton 360 My Norton page, the page does not recognize that the Password Manager is already set up and active. The Password Manager button erroneously shows "Set Up", and when pressed the surrounding oval turns blue and nothing else happens - forever! That button should say "Access Vault". Also, he Feature Setup incorrectly shows Password Manager as not being setup when it already is on, active, and functioning in other areas of Norton 360, and surprisingly through the Firefox browser extension NPM button. This apparent MY Norton syncing problem only happens with Firefox, not when using Edge or Chrome.

I just upgraded Firefox on my Mac Mini M2 (2023) to version 124 (64 bit). When I start up Firefox it starts (I see Firefox in the top menu bar) but it will not open a session window. In addition, the top menu bar is in an inactive state (i.e. the words are in grey instead of black). It seems to be in a partially open state.

I have tried (1) waiting to see if that fixes things and (2) a cold boot of the computer. Both things did not work.

One of my machines has Windows 7 installed and uses Chrome browser. Recently I had a need to install Firefox. As soon as the install completed, all of my existing Google related shortcut icons changed to some generic type. No matter what I did I could not change the shortcut icons back to their original. I uninstalled Firefox and they all came back. Any suggestions?

My laptop had windows 10. I backed up both its drives, C and D, in their entirety to an external drive and installed Linux (pop!_os), but forgot to open the browser one last time and export current tabs, bookmarks, passwords, history and so on beforehand. I believe I should have the unexported files in my backup, as the Mozilla folders are there. What files do I look for in the backup of my drives and how do I transfer them to my current installation of Firefox?

I will be receiving a new HP Laptop to replace a 2013 Dell Inspiron desktop and would like to to transfer my Firefox browser, settings and bookmarks when it arrives in a couple of weeks. Can you help with the easiest way for me, who has some knowledge but not the greatest at Tech. ? Thank you !

There was a hardware problem with my iMac; the Apple Store fixed it and in the process wiped the disk and reinstalled Ventura. I then restored from Time Machine. Most things work, but Firefox is one that doesn't. It will not open. If I click the Firefox icon in the Dock, it looks like it's going to open --- the icon moves to the right and bounces back --- (something similar happens if I click on the app in the Applications list), and then Firefox fails to open. No error message or anything. Firefox is still opens on my iPad and iPhone. Would it be of any use to reinstall Firefox? Would the new installation automatically find my Bookmarks and sync with the iPad and iPhone?

Firefox is my longstanding browser (on Windows 10). I wish to make use of the Firefox PDF viewer, but have been unable to gain access to it. If for the purposes of an attachment I click on "Open with", Firefox does not appear among the viewers offered. I'm not tech savvy, so a step by step (idiot's) guide as how I can gain access to and then make use of the Firefox as my default PDF viewer will be greatly appreciated, please.
