I'm running Firefox Dev edition and I cannot get it to load any pages except for Mozilla pages. I have tried all the fixes suggested there and it still refuses to connect. I'm at my wits end. Any hail mary optoins or do I have to reinstall and start again?

Long story short: windows update sneaked a restart under my nose caused me to lose all my previous session.

I'm attempting to recover the previous session.

I have backed up the unmodified session profile folder. But this profile folder was modified by the restart process obviously, as windows gave firefox "normal shutdown" command. How do I know that? The next time I opened it up, it's "brand new" without the "restore session" interface.

So my idea is to figure out if firefox keeps a track record of previous sessions EVEN IF THE SHUTDOWN WAS PROPER.

If it does, well I'll have to figure out a way to "trick" firefox to restore it. If it doesn't, well I'll have to manually restore it by sifting through the history.

I repeat, the key here is for me to find out whether or not firefox always keep a record of previous session somewhere.

So my question is, does it? Or does it purge all the previous session clean as long as the shutdown was deemed "correct"?

I am attempting to build a script (extension) that will open any focused page in Firefox with Microsoft Edge from the context menu. The intention is to utilise the existing microsoft-edge URL Protocol in Windows instead of a native client.

I developed a web app that checks the existing session login for each new page. So, after logging in the first time, the user is shown a dashboard with a list of functions they can access (My Account, etc). When an item is clicked and the application calls the function, it first checks for the existence of login session. If it's not there, then the user is forced back to login screen. However Firefox is deleting the session at some point so when the session is checked for the new function, the user is forced to login again. Chrome, Safari, Edge do not and are fine.

Enhanced tracking is turned off for the site and is shown as an exception. What is happening and how can prevent it?

I am doing some web scraping, and i noticed a problem i am having. When i set the advanced preferences at about:config as such: print_printer = Mozilla Save as PDF and print.always_print_silent = true , then a pop up shows up and exclaims : The selected printer could not be found. If print.always_print_silent is set to false, then it works, or even if is true, if i set the print_printer as something else like: Microsoft Print to PDF, it works. Just the combination that i need isn't working. Is this a general problem or is it something else. Here are all my current customized preferences.

I want to be able to open, say, pdf files and NOT have them saved in the downloads directory unless I mark them to be saved in the open dialogue. Firefox worked that way for years. I reported this as a bug, I think in V.101. After much palaver, some of it irrelevant, the bug was reported fixed, but it has not been.

The bug number — it changed frequently — I last noted down was 1738574.

When printing double-sided from Firefox 103, the second page comes out upside-down. A previous thread 'Two-sided printing rotating on wrong axis' reported this problem for Firefox 85 / 86, and said that it was fixed by updating to the current version. I have the current version, but am getting the same problem. I have tried manually setting instructions to flip on long side (portrait orientation), but that doesn't work. Help!

Everytime I try to do a search in Firefox I get a Manuals Library page come up. Why is it doing this? I did a search not long ago for a user's manual for a product, and I guess I accidentally downloaded this Manuals Library. Now I have no idea how to get rid of it. There is no shortcut on my desktop for it, I cannot find it anywhere in my downloaded programs in Uninstall or Change a Program in my Control Box. I DO NOT want this program! Help please!! I am not a geek and I follow all the details of 'how to etc etc' but nothing works and the phone goes into random loops and keeps telling my I cannot sync (I KNOW that). Firefox has no phone number or email system for technical support (or any type of support) just this hit and miss system of 'forums' (or is that fora). I tried to send a bug report but I am NOT signing up for another (geek speak) account just to send you the problem. Please fix this issue - it never used to happen on older versions - how can I roll back my firefox to something that works properly?? Hi, I am Sign-in the application through Iframe. then I am open the Same Url in new tab which I used In the Iframe. But It does not read Session and local storage. Please help me to resolve the Issue

None of the menu buttons work at the top of yahoo mail in firefox when an e-mail is open, I am able to use these in Microsoft Edge. Until the last update of firefox they worked so something broke in the latest release 103.0.1 is my guess. I restarted without extensions and still broken.

everytime I open firefox, it automatically switches tabs like these which require authentication to log in. even though their password is saved, I am still required to click in sign-in button.

Its really annoying that these kind of tabs get opened automatically, and then I have to switch back. Is there a way to disable this autoswitch or better, let the authentication happen automatically since the password is already stored ?

Every time I launch Firefox, it attempts to connect to a number of domains automatically; some of which, it strikes me, may not be entirely necessary and should, therefore, not be automatic.

For instance, I have automatic extension/plugin updates off by default, so why does FF try to connect to versioncheck.addons.mozilla.org and/or versioncheck-bg.addons.mozilla.org every time I launch it?

How many of the following do I actually need to give a pass to in my firewall and how many can I safely block?

I have had a problem for several months now, whereby I cannot access images/shopping pages on Google. e.g. I enter a search criteria in Google - say, TOP GUN. I then click on "Images" option, and the "Before you proceed" page opens, ref cookies. I click on "Accept all", but the images page does not open. The same thing happens for "shopping".

I installed Google Chrome, seperately, and it works fine with that, just not with google.co.uk via Firefox. I have uBlockOrigin installed. I disabled it, but still doesnt work (although I just realised I didnt restart pc after disabling it, perhaps I should have?)

Other addons/Extensions are Dark reader, Dark theme for Google, Dark theme for YouTube, and New Tab override (plus uBlockOrigin, as already mentioned). I cleared my cache etc via Security/Privacy on Firefox settings. I used to be able to access these pages, however for past couple of months, no luck.

Any suggestions/assistance would be appreciated.

We are on version 103.0.1 and have started having a problem with the PDF viewer showing blank documents. If you download the document is is good. How can we get the document to open correctly in the viewer.

Whether I use Google or DuckDuckGo or FireFox, I get this message at the VitaCost.com website when searching for products. I can get to the website via http or https but this message stops me from ordering.

My firefox browser can't shown the correct myanmar unicode script when I type in google page and other websites also shown the wrongly font scripts that are unable to read. I'd asked to google and they said it is the font rendering problem and advice ask to your team for help. Please take a look and advice me how to fix it. I'd installed myanmar unicode font in browser and set as default. Other websites which are use Myanmar unicode are also shown the wrong script in firefox browser. The browser version is 103.0.1(64bit).

Hello, when I click on link with middle mouse button it will open that link on next tab but doesn't "jump" there, which is fine. But when I do the same with pdf links, it will automaticly "jumps" on the pfd file. And I don't want to. I want to open it like normal link (on next tab in background), because I have a lot of pdf files to open, and this makes it difficult to do it qucikly. Before some weeks this wasn't a probem, it started now.
