On this page, I am not able to click the download button built into the pdf.js viewer and have it download - it clicks and does nothing. If I right click in the frame and click "Show only this frame", then I can download the PDF using that same button. Any ideas?

I am a game developer. I work about 12 hours a day, in Chrome. It is my main browser. When I installed firefox, I was asked to "import" cookies and such. I did. Which has been a terrible headache. All of the bookmarks and everything from Chrome came with it, which I already had in firefox, since I've had it for years. But, I thought since this is a brand new computer that I needed to do that. Fast-forward a couple of weeks and now EVERY time I open up firefox, all 10 million history links are in history.
I use firefox to unwind and watch movies. I don't want 10 million links to work in front of where I left off in binge watching Seinfeld.
I've tried everything and followed instructions and STILL, all history from Chrome shows up in firefox. It is infuriating. AND uninstalling and reinstalling did nothing. The setting is already in the account to import from Chrome to firefox. I've removed addons and extensions as well. Nothing has worked.

Hi, I just replaced my SSD (Samsung 960EVO m.2 250Gb) for a larger/faster SSD (Samsung 980 m.2 1Tb) . I'm on Windows 10 and have 32Mb Ram. Firefox is now very slow on some websites (not all).
This example is typical and has occured on multiple sites. To test and compare, I copied the URL, created a new tab in Firefox, then Paste and Go. I timed this 3 times and each time was 30 seconds. I Pasted the same into Chrome and Edge and each time it was instant. https://savingschampion.co.uk/best-buys/personal/easy-access-accounts
On my previous SSD, there was never an issue of any lag on any site.
BBC.co.uk/news is fine, as are several other sites. Does anyone have any idea what's happening? This is making Firefox unworkable for me, so unless I can fix the issue, I will have to move permanently to Chrome or Edge. That would be a shame after many years with Firefox.

I am using Firefox browser with DuckDuckGo search engine. When trying to print a crossword puzzle daily form USA Today, I get the following message after pressing the play button: Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information). If I refresh the page, the site continues on and lets me print the puzzle. I tried switching back to Firefox for the search engine with the same result. Hello there; I had installed the "savefrom.net" extension. This extension automatically generated the website address to the "bookmarks toolbar". I deleted the extension and deleted the shortcut as well. But when the bookmarked website shortcut "firefox" is closed and reopened, it adds itself to the bookmarks toolbar again. No matter what I did, it didn't work. I don't want to delete Firefox completely and reinstall it. Because there are too many shortcuts and data that I use all the time. How do you think I can solve this problem?

I have run Firefox for years on up to 4 PCs at once, everything has always synced and screens all look the same. Recently one laptop lost the addon extension icons in the Firefox toolbar. They remain on all other installations. I have tried uninstalling Firefox and installing an earlier build, and also the latest Beta build with no luck. All extensions show as installed and activated. I have copied the Profile from another laptop. I have of course done a reset. Any other suggestions?

Over the past two days, I have found if I create a new tab, the shortcuts that I had saved on that page have all disappeared. Does Firefox keep a backup of these shortcuts? Unlike related support messages I've read, my bookmarks and bookmarks toolbar are unaffected.
These shortcuts (about 16 of them) took quite a while to accumulate, and it is frustrating to see that they can just simply disappear like that.

I just want to simply add a shortcut to a webpage that is currently not on the home page, in spite of having visited it several times. since the automatic adding of visited sites is not consistent (some sites do not show up on the home page no matter how often I visit them while others that I have visited once act like they are pinned, but they are not), I need to be able to add a website shortcut manually, and none of the help articles that I have found successfully do that. at least in my current version of Firefox, which is version 108.0.2 (64-bit).

When I tap the middle mouse wheel to enable auto-scrolling (with no additional inputs like clicking, scrolling, or keyboard inputs), on release of the middle mouse wheel, auto-scroll disappears. I can only use auto-scroll while holding down the middle mouse wheel.
I've reached out to other's and this seems to not be the intended/default behavior. I've confirmed middle-mouse wheel scroll (where it's a tap / toggle) works on Chrome as well as other applications like Spotify.
I would like to have it as a toggle. What can I do?
