USAToday.com loads but with very small print and normal pictures, all other sites are OK, IE9s OK. I cleared cashes, cookies, and history; and nothing helped

Did you try resetting the zoom level for that domain?
Ctrl + 0 (zero) on the keyboard to reset the zoom level
