Can no longer specify where to add my bookmark
On Firefox 4.0 the ability to say where a bookmark should be saved no longer works. It just saves the bookmark at the end of the list just in front of the "Unsorted Bookmarks" NB I had to delete some of the troubleshooting information as this exceeded your limit of 30,000 chars

It might be caused by AVG Safe Search which you appear to have installed.
You can test it by running Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode which disables your add-ons temporarily.

Hi Xircal, you hit the nail on the head. I disabled AVG and restarted Firefox. All OK. Thanks for the speedy and correct diagnosis.
