Passwords not saving
Passwords not saving - this problem started after Firefox recommended an action (I can't remember exactly what, but I now have a file saying 'Old Firefox Data') to speed up browsing. Have checked privacy and security settings, the relevant box is checked but still doesn't work - any ideas?

Hi, Old Firefox Data is created during a Refresh (sometimes called a Tune-up). More info on that here if needed: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings.
One reason Firefox might not offer to save logins is if you are using automatic private browsing mode, also called "Never remember history." Is it possible you have that set? You can check on the Preferences page, Privacy & Security panel, History section. Either of these will trigger that mode:
- Firefox will: Never remember history
- Firefox will: Use custom settings for history + [x] "Always use private browsing mode"
Thanks Jscher2000 - yes I think I did do a Refresh and this is when the problem began - I had no problems before this. I've checked my history as advised and I'm in 'remember history' mode so I don't think that's the problem
Can you create a new login manually yourself in Lockwise ?
Did you previously had logins that were lost after the refresh ?
Hi cor-el
I have not used Lockwise before - normally when I put a password in, I can a prompt saying 'would you like Firefox to save this password' I say yes but still doesn't save.
