expired domain (fixed now), can't log in Thunderbird with my username, asks for password
I haven't cheched my email for almost 2 weeks, and during that time my domain expired. I renewed it now and it's working, but when I try to log in into my Thunderbird, I keep getting error message: Log in to server mikeclaytonwriter.com with a username mike@mikeclaytonwriter.com failed.
When I shut it down and start it again, it asks for a password, then shows that 'login failure' message again.
At this point I'm not even sure I'm typing in the right password, and I have nowhere to check or ask for a new password. Please help me.

sometime personal or small-company or small-business mail-servers are configured to still use old/unsafe TLS protocol. newer TB v78 series by-default will not accept unsafe TLS protocol. so use either TB v68 series, which allows usage of older/unsafe protocol by-default, OR, in v78 series TB goto about:config & find this setting "security.tls.version.min" its set at 3, change it to 1 to use older TLS protocol.
if it works, then you may continue to use in this unsafe way , OR, increase TLS settings in mail-server to use last safe TLS. if you have fixed TLS in mail-server then dont forget to set the "security.tls.version.min" back to 3.
