Why can't I edit my Search Engines Links ? ! nor Add one manually ?!

That is my whole issue and I don't know if I should swear or not ! yandex by default .. okay, a sponsor

but removing the option to manually add and edit search engines and making them into extensions THAT IS TOO MUCH.

either give me a solution to this or give me a migration tool to move out my data.

Hi mhsp2822, you are correct that built-in search engine paths cannot be edited (for example, to add new parameters).

There are a couple different ways to add custom search engines. If you haven't found one that suits your needs, you could try this add-on that lets you specify your own path:

Hi, In Firefox, click the search icon in the search box and select “Change Search Settings”. You can also head to Firefox's Menu > Options > Search. You'll see a list of “One-click search engines” here. Click the “Add More Search Engines” link at the bottom.

Thank You.

Now the latest android version has this problem too... and it's seems it can't be fixed due to not android compatible extensions problems all around... (I get 6 of 10 extensions disabled)

Hi kingkongfive2, the discussion in this thread was directed toward "desktop" versions of Firefox.

In Firefox for Android Beta (version 79+), there is a custom search engine feature built in for users who want to build a search URL. Could you take a look at the following article:
