I have verified that the two profiles are exactly the same except for account addresses. All the settings are the same between each account.
Do I need a different address for each account to contact the AOL server? I tried that. No luck.
What I am trying to do is download to two different areas on my disk, so I can answer two different sets of people.

Hi Green_Sky, what is going wrong in this setup?
When you go to AOL to log into webmail, is Firefox or the site automatically logging you into the same account in both profiles -- you can't get to the second account?
Or is this problem in the Thunderbird email program?
Crud. The sentence was cut off. What I meant to say was that the first account works fine. The second one will not work at all. It keeps asking for the password. When I give the correct password, I get the error message 'Sending of password for user green_sky@verizon.net did not succeed. Mail server pop.aol.com responded: [SYS/TEMP] Server error - Please try again later.' Here is my quandary. If my first account works with the same setup as the second, why doesn't the second account work? Are the two setups supposed to be different in some subtle, but unknown to me way?
