Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good ad blocker.

The above mentioned part of your post makes me think that you don't want to see ads, but this part :

.... makes think that you do want to see ads - why else would you remove your adblocker ?

Would you be so kind as to explain what exactly it is that you want with regards to ads ?

I recommend using the uBlock Origin extension! https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/

And if you are not happy with what is not getting blocked look into the Options for uBlockO and select additional Block Lists subscriptions.
