Google maps fail on page reload with Firefox 68 on Mac
Example: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/map-simple Loads fine on first load. Now highlight the address bar (by clicking in it) and hit the return button: Map does not load. Do it again: it loads. Do it again: doesn't load. I've tried this on different machines - same problem.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
The problem persists in safe mode. BTW, this problem occurs in other situations but the example I have posted above is the most simple to trouble-shoot.
I tried this on another 2 MACs (with the same OS) and got a similar but different result. The other machines showed the map loading on first and second reload but when you clicked on the map and scrolled around it would fail to redraw the rest of the map. My OS is 10.13.6
