Separate Security Issue, please update your Flash 27.0 r0 Flash Player Version: 30.0.0.113 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>
Are you getting any error messages ?
Have you turned off any adblockers and noscript if using ? No info came regarding the above.
What security software are you running ? There is security software like Avast/AVG, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate.

If you are running any of the above security programs see their community forum for them.
One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/tracking-protection
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
Thanks for the response Pkshadow. I have the latest flash player, and Firefox 60.0.2, no error messages (I can get to the website but when I try to log in with my password it doesn't reject it but just times out), using McAfee, and do not see a shield icon.
Actually, come to think of it, this seems to have started about the time of the latest downloaded version (60.0.2). I updated about a week ago. Could that be the issue? Thanks.
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).
"Remove the Cookies" from websites that cause problems:
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data -> Manage Data
"Clear the Cache":
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> Cached Web Content: Clear
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
I tried bypassing the cache using "Ctrl + F5" then I also tried safe mode - to no avail. The other day I cleared the American Funds cookies and that didn't work either.
I was going to try the previous version of Firefox but wasn't sure how to do it or if it would mess anything up.

Hello All,
First of all I would like to thank you for taking the time to help me. Today I tried logging into American Funds with Firefox and was successful!!! Maybe it was an update to McAfee or maybe we'll never know. Bottom line is it works now. Too bad we can't always get to the root cause for issues. Anyway, again, I appreciate all your suggestions! I learned some things with your ideas.
Thanks!!!!! :) Ken
