Set zoom at 150 permanently.

I would like to set my Zoom to stay at 150% all the time instead of it reverting back to 100% with every page change. I have looked in all settings and find no solution.

Hi ccare, Firefox has a single adjustment that affects both the toolbar area ("chrome") and the web page area ("content ") zoom level. You can adjust that, but it will affect both.

If you are happy with the size of text in the toolbar area, then you can use an add-on to independently modify the default zoom level of the content area. For example:

The global zoom setting is a little hard to spot on its Options page. It's about half-way down:

Seriously?!! Setting a zoom default should NOT be so difficult and nor should it be an 'add-on'...it should be a basic setting - a customization. Wanting to reset the screen size is not an uncommon adjustment for users to make. Firefox needs to simplify such tasks.

Here in support we work with the Firefox we have today and can suggest relevant features, settings changes, and workarounds. If you want to increase the default size of text BOTH in the user interface AND in web content, there is a built-in setting for that. What's missing is independent settings for the two.

If you want to propose changes to future versions of Firefox, you can submit suggestions through one or more of the following links:

But this has been requested a number of times over the years and it hasn't happened yet, so if it's important to you, consider using an add-on for now.
