My bookmarks had been coming and going for some time in versions prior to 57, but I was always able to get them back, usually by shutting down firefox and restarting. Now that I have the latest update 57 (64bit) my bookmarks are gone and using the bookmark restore returns an error "Unable to process the backup file". I'm getting this error on multiple restore points. In other words, its not working. putting the "show bookmarks" icon on the tool bar does nothing either. Nor can I bookmark any new web pages. Any Ideas, because none of the previous answers are working or applicable?
