There are two other threads on this, but none exactly answering my concern. Many of us want a seamless user experience with "default" when upgrades are installed, without changing looks, and without the need to take action on our part to be able to use the product. Styling should be the optional part. After some research, the closest I can get to the previous look is to change themes to light background. 1. But now I am not using the default, so who knows what I may have to attend to with future changes. 2. One user asked how we can change them back to the blue we had, and that would be my request, too. Changing to light does not distinguish the row of tabs from the rows above or below. 3. I cannot see the "open new tab" link on the right or the arrows to scroll between tabs because that font is still white. 4. And the refresh/reload icon is now on the left of the URL (like in Chrome) requiring retraining where I "reach" for it. Don't you want to retain some distinction from Chrome?

Sorry if you have tried this but I moved the refresh button to the right of the url box and switched to the light theme by hitting the "3bar sandwich" button top right then going to customize. Drag the refresh button and see the themes button at the bottom of the page. Unfortunately the refresh icon has to site right of the bookmark icons which may not be any more logical than its new default position. Don't know why the look and layout had to change, seems like change for changes sake to me. If it ain't broken...

Hope this helps

Thank you Shutey, I moved the refresh icon and will try it in the new location. I don't want to experiment with themes, though. I'm hoping the Mozilla people will read all the negative feedback and make some additional changes. I noted I still can't see the "open new tab" link. And after experimenting with your suggestion, I can add a #5. There is a density choice, but none satisfactory. For those of us that work with a million tabs open, we can now only see 4-6 letters on each tab, and 2 letters on the active tab. Density doesn't improve, only makes the tabs taller and one letter wider when touch is selected. I just simply want them wider like they used to be.
