On several often used sites, I get a 'Firefox prevented this page from auto. reloading'. Clicking Allow doesn't change anything? Why not? How can I adjust!

I need to know how to change what, where, to be able to be assured my games at ESPN and Yahoo will be updated continually. I'd think something is blocked somewhere, but cannot find where or how to adjust. Please help me find where to change the setting. My husband says he has a similar problem with Windows10 that we haven't had with other Windows products we've used for years.

Did you look at the above posted accessibility setting?

  • "3-bar" menu button -> Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> General: Accessibility
    remove checkmark: [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"

The setting in "Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

Hi, try opening Options > Advanced (General tab) and deselect Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page. See - Advanced panel - Accessibility, browsing, network, updates, and other advanced settings in Firefox

I click on websites and pages within those websites and I get tired of having to always click allow. Sometimes I have to click it over and over for a page. When I've CHOSEN to open something why does Firefox keep it from loading? Can I remove this feature?
