First I am using Firefox version 46.0.1. Windows 10. The video I am trying to watch is located here: http://m.cwtv.com/thecw/chroniclesofcisco/?play=18a5471f-f6d9-4727-954b-b5df55bca8d0

Here is a pic of the screen: As you can see the image of the video is there, but it won't play

This is a problem with the HTML5 media player and not with the Shockwave Flash plugin.

Try to use the Inspector to locate the video element of that player and post a screenshot.

You can right-click and select "Inspect Element" to open the Inspector ("3-bar" menu button or Tools > Web Developer) with this element selected.

You can also check the Web Console ("3-bar" menu button or Tools > Web Developer) for error messages.

Oh, forgot some info. I can view the video in Edge as well as IE. Only Firefox will not play it. The thing is I prefer Firefox greatly over the other browsers...so it would be nice if Firefox would work on this and some other websites that seem to have this same problem

Its really weird, I opened up the Wed Developer Tools to right click on the video and "Inspect Element" so that we could get an idea of what the file type was of the video. And it started to play. Are your video plugins up to date? (Also I am on beta 47.0)

not sure what video plugins I should have, but I just noticed the the shockwave flash is telling me to update and says it is known to be vulnerable. However when I hit the button that says update now it takes me to another page that explains why it was blocked but doesn't allow me to update.

Is this the problem? If so where can I update and what is most recent version of shockwave flash?

shoot sorry....forgot to add the image

oops again...sorry...but further up on that list I have shockwave flah 21.0 and it is installed and no warnings on it...and it is always active...so I guess that is not the problem

okay I can do that and it pulls up a bunch of stuff, but I have no idea what I am looking for once that is open....do you just want a screenshot (or it will likely be two) of all the stuff that comes up?

OMG....I figured it out....because you had me do the inspect element thing. I am on a PC not a mobile device. But I kept seeing mobile on the inspect element page, and things like touchscreen and so on. I realized the problem was the page...is for a mobile device. I took the m off the front of the url and it went to a regular page and I can view it fine.

I feel very stupid, but also very relieved. Thanks for all the help, you actually DID help me figure this out, so much thanks to you
