Starting firefox in safe mode didn't help. I keep seeing the "activx hosting plugin for firefox may be busy or it may have stopped working", and after clicking continue, the browser hangs.

(( I want to highlight that, I'm facing the described issue when the scanner software window is opened from a site I'm opening ))

I noticed something really interesting in your last reply: the i3dlog.dll which is for PaperStream IP. This is a scanner that I was installing then I've uninstalled to install a new one. It seems that it is not appropriately uninstalled or something.

I read over my searches that having 2 versions of something may cause the unresponsive plugin issue. Appreciating your support in how to get rid of that old scanner installation

As to your last message, it would be best, with any kind of installing problems, to totally remove that software and try again.

You should also contact its support site.

Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help. I want to highlight that in the crash report, i found some rows that are mostly related to the problem (like JUTImg.ocx) highlighted in red and have a tooltip saying missing symbol. What does this mean?

Also, how can i get the reason of the issue (results like what you have mentioned above), from my crash report?

The crash report shows what was going on during a crash. Sometimes, it will directly show the cause of the crash. But other times, like yours, one has to check out each flagged program to find the cause.

Note: Something being flagged could be the cause, or just another victim.
