Why is firefox often 'not responding' on a laptop running Windows Vista?
Since I've installed the latest versions of firefox on Windows Vista on my laptop, I get a lot of "Not Responding" or spinning wheels w/ no web page coming up--"Connecting" stays on for far too long. I suspect porting to new devices (especially mobil devices) broke it on laptops and/or older OS's. Sorry, but I won't buy a smartphone just to run firefox!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
